City Lodge Salisbury, Salisbury
All walking distance. Whether it was the train, cathedral, park, restaurants or shopping you candi it on foot. Very nice staff. Very clean and comfortable.

Small but clean rooms, few amenities, adequate
Bare bones for a vacationing couple. The hotel itself was a boring-looking whitewashed facade with a minimal check-in desk whose staff was preoccupied with their own business. The room itself was very small, in an odd configuration where the walls were not parallel to the bed and closed in. The outlets were behind the bed and we had to move the bed to get to them. There was no breakfast (outside of the apples they set out). Overall, the facilities were old but clean and the location was easy to get to and in easy walking distance of several places nearby. For a night to stay, it was adequate.

I booked two rooms and One of them had no shower head. It was almost impossible taking a shower. But the hotel was right downtown and we could walk to all the landmarks.

Nice place to stay for a Stonehenge trip
This is a cute little place to stay. I needed a place to stay overnight before going to Stonehenge and Old Sarum, and this place fit the bill perfectly. My train did not arrive until almost midnight, and they have 24 hour check-in. Both the night and day staff were friendly. It's about a 15-20 min walk from the train station. There are lots of little restaurants/bakeries/etc along the way for food. The room itself was small but very efficient with space. There were lots of electrical outlets. The bathroom was a bit cramped and when you turned the light on there was a super loud fan that didn't turn off for a few minutes, which was a bit odd. On the room desk there were two packages of small snack crackers as well as two fresh apples, which was awesome! There was also tea and coffee. Finally, the staff let me store my bags in a back room while I went sightseeing, which was a nice bonus.

Nice clean room with friendly staff in a quaint English town. Stonehedge was OK, but it rained
