Beautiful!
This is the most charming place I have ever stayed in. The grounds and amenities could not have been been nicer and the staff was friendly and attentive. Wish I had more time to spend here.

Excellent Hotel & Stay
We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is really special, the property itself is amazing, the staff very professional and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was large, super comfortable and had quality bedding, furnishings etc. (We were in the main building) Breakfast was really good too, buffet style with the option to order eggs, kippers etc. The sitting rooms, bar area were really comfortable and spacious. Location was perfect it's close to Blenheim Place, 20-30 minutes from Oxford (we were here for my daughter's graduation). WiFi was excellent too. Would definitely recommend staying here and next time we are in the area we will definitely come back.

Nice hotel with too many drawbacks
A nice hotel, a bit out of the way. Well maintained, clean, and attractive. Unfortunately there were a few small items that would prevent me from staying here again. To wit: Rooms facing the afternoon sun become very warm and there is no air conditioning or other means of cooling. The bed is up against one wall, making it difficult for the person sleeping on that side to enter/exit. The shower is of the "rain" type which in this case means you cannot shower without getting your hair wet each time - more of a problem for women than men, but non the less annoying. The bathroom sink has separate faucets for hot and cold water making it impossible to obtain running warm water - a problem for those with contact lenses. Also the faucets are so close to the side wall of the sink that it is difficult to get your hands under them. Lastly, the bedding consists of the European favorite, a duvet. These are always good for winter but much too hot in the warmer months. So, sleep for awhile, get too warm, throw off the cover, sleep, get too cold, recover yourself, etc.

Bait and Switch, you've been warned.
You will be led to believe that you are staying in the manor house, you almost certainly are not. You are most likely staying in a small building that looked like it was added in the 90s. This feels very much like a bait and switch and was pretty disappointing. Add to that the blaring music from the exercise class that was apparently held near our room's window at 7AM and that the hotel is fairly far from anything and I really can't recommend this place other than it was not terribly expensive.

An estate in the country
Dream location. Isolated enough for rest, close to towns for adventure.
