It was a very clean room and property. The beach wasn’t very clean and there were a lot of guys on the beach selling things. The places to lay out near the beach were very close to each other. The food was good, and live music was nice.

This is a nice property with comfy beds and friendly staff. The dining options are very very limited and extremely overpriced. If you stay here, I would recommend walking down the beach to one of the many restaurants where you can feed four people for the cost of feeding one at this hotel.

This is a alright beach resort, a little outdated for the price-range, and not possibly a 4* hotel. Beautiful garden. The beach is very affected by the tides and the water is muggy as the tides change. Better swimming conditions around Royal and Kendwa beach. We had all-inclusive option, good variety of foods and drinks, though the drinks' option is limited to specific selection from the menu. Room was clean, but interior is outdated. The road that takes you from the village to the hotel is awful with huge holes that the cars need to pass very carefully and slowly. It is a disgrace that a 4* hotel does not make any effort to upgrade the local road, if not for its customers, then as a contribution to locals' welfare.

Great resort for relaxation
Everyone on the staff was so helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and the pool was lovely. My only recommendations for improvement is that the room smelled a bit mildewy when I first checked in, but keeping the a/c running helped. The bed was a bit soft too. Also, the bartenders are good, but it is never quick to order any of the mixed drinks. I think they could speed up the process by having some of the ingredients pre-mixed. I also think the directions for driving in the dark to the hotel could be improved. We definitely got lost trying once the asphalt ended in Nungwi.

Great hotel on a private beach
We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the private beach, the pool and good food. The room was very nice and we had a balcony with water views. A very relaxing place after traveling on the mainland Tanzania.
