Great luxury stay in the heart of Sanur
My sisters and I stayed at Puri Santrian for 2 nights. Check-in was easy and straightforward, and we were given a delicious welcome drink. Our room was big and the bed was very comfortable. There were lots of dine-in options and pool facilities. There is no gym, which was a bit disappointing. Breakfast buffet was delicious, beachside location was great. And it's located right in the heart of Sanur, which made it very convenient for shopping and eating out. Will definitely be back.

Dated and in need of remodeling, mediocre beach
The grounds of the hotel are beautiful with mature tropical landscaping well kept and great pool areas. The pool bar however is deserted. The lobby is airy and inviting. The hotel is in walking distance of many great restaurants. The beach is nice in the morning when it has been cleaned up and there is high tide. The moment the water starts receding, the beach is full of trash and unspectacular. The hotel spa is overpriced, there are many spas in walking distance offering the same services for a fraction of the price. Breakfast is good, but repetitive. The major drawback are the rooms. Dark, outdated and with bad smell. The towels are worn out, grey and frayed. The rooms are in dare need of a modern makeover, starting with screens at the windows to offer the possibility to open the windows to enjoy the ocean breeze to get a break form the A/C smell. Next step should be the removal of the old curtains and replace those with practical blinds. Our closet had plenty of room for our clothes, however, it smelled so bad that we lived out of suitcases our entire stay. Guest service was another thing that left us puzzled - one of the room service staff actually recommended we clean our coffee mugs ourselves since it's not their job. There is quite an interesting crowd visiting Bali in general. It seems, this hotel or area of Sanur in general has its own life and time. The hotel is frequented mainly by European retirees and a whole different world if you come over from a stay in Ubud.

Very Good8.0
The resort overall is lovely. I was very disappointed to receive a room that hadn't been renovated when it was the picture of the renovated room that I was sold on. There was only a choice of one double bed or two singles which is also disappointing since at least a Queen size is the norm. We went with singles as the doubles too small and the beds were very hard. But staff accommodated and put pillow tops on them. Grounds and pool area are lovely and well kept and the service is very good as well. overall I would definitely recommend it.

Poor Customer Service & Not Budget Friendly
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Puri Santrian for 4 nights. The hotel in itself is very nice and the rooms are spacious. The AC also works very well and the breakfast is delicious. Our favorite part of this hotel was it's location. Tons of live music, food, shopping, bars and water sports around it. However, the customer service at this hotel was terrible. We paid for the more expensive Premiere Deluxe room. We had no hot water for 2 days, there were blood stains on one of the robes, and my boyfriend and I had to sleep on 2 separate twin beds because "that's the biggest beds they had". When walking around the property we noticed that a vacant room identical to ours had 1 king size bed in it. Upon letting the hotel staff know about this issue they did nothing to solve it and said they were completely booked and couldn't change rooms even though we booked our hotel 5 months in advance we had zero priority. Also do not use the drivers supplied by the hotel. There prices are a lot higher then what you can find on the street. We probably won't stay here again because of the price.
