The Acarsaid, Pitlochry
Good6.0
Nice visit marred by poor wi-fi service.
The hotel and its personnel are very nice. Our room was small, but functional. The location is very convenient. The breakfast was better than average for the area. Unfortunately, the wi-fi service at the hotel was very poor - so bad that I was not able to stay connected in our room at all, and only somewhat better in the lounge.

Average with so-so service
The hotel was adequate for its purpose: reasonably comfortable beds, large enough bathroom, good breakfast. However, this was our least favorite hotel on this trip to UK (out of 7). In large part it was due to service. It was not terrible, but it was not welcoming, unpleasant enough to leave a bad impression in every member of our family. I had a feeling that the person in question had an issue with our accents; she was exceedingly friendly with people without. The steakhouse on the premises was ok; adequate, but nothing to write about. A tip: two navigation systems, Google maps being one of them, took us to a wrong location, a tourist information center. Building numbers are hard to read in this town, so it took us a while to find the hotel. We called the hotel for assistance, and the person on the phone acted as if we were insane and was borderline rude. Overall, there are plenty of hotels in Pitlochry, most of them probably provide similar accommodations, no need to suffer unpleasantness on your hard-earned vacation.

Great hotel, great time
The reception was very friendly, gave us our choice of rooms. Parking was easy. We were warned wifi only worked reliably in the lobby, however it worked well for us in our room. Pitlochry was a great town and this was well located hallway between the main town and the great Blair Atholl distillery. Finally breakfast was included and absolutely amazing.

A gem of a hotel.
A great stay. Clean, comfortable, nice staff. Breakfast was amazing. Easy walk to the main shopping area of town.
