Rim was more basic than I initially expected the air con was on when I arrived so it was nice and chilled considering the 29 degrees outside. The TV was set up properly or not working as every channel was a deep red colour. Otherwise a adequate room with passable decor. The toilet / wet room was very cubical like so you could’ve showered whilst on the toilet. But was adequate for what I needed. The plug for the sink was missing but got around that with a bit of tissue. Staff were very welcoming and helpful I paid extra for the breakfast which consisted of 3 types danish, the hit food was a dodgy looking stumbled eggs which was oily and two types of sausage a frankfurter and a spicier small sausage. Nothing else. So I’d say you’d better look in town for a breakfast. It’s opposite Margret island so little way from the centre of town where I stayed before so if you want a shop you have to walk about 10mins across the dual carriage way. But it was perfect if you just want a quick stop off for the odd night

Tghis is an excellent hotel on the river Danube.
I visited this hotel with my son at the end of July for the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Hotel provided excellent accommodation and Service. We arrived at 2:30am (30mins after last check-in) but this was no problem. The staff were polite and helpful. Reception offer a car transport service which is cheaper than taxis and was very reliable; the cars arrived on time and charged exactly the agreed price - highly recommended. We used to hotel restaurant one evening on the upper deck- what better location could you find in Budapest than sitting on the Danube / food was fine and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was a range of hot and cold food, breads, pastries, cereals and fruits - all good. The boat is beautifully refurbished; our cabin looked out towards the shore, was not huge (after all it’s a cabin), was very clean and has a private shower and bathroom.

Great location
The boat hotel is quite nice and comfortable. The room is not too big but it's good for sleeping. It would be nice to have a fridge in the room and if there would be more breakfast option in the buffet as I'm vegan and they did not have milk for me either,so I had to buy my own from the shop.It would be nice to have a vending machine with drinks and snacks,so we could have enjoyed it more in the hot weather. The location is very good and the view is amazing. If you are a smoker, you can smoke outside on the terrace,so it's really useful. In the leaflet says, they give you an umbrella free of charge at the reception but when we wanted one, they did not have any ,so we had to go to the shop and buy one.We were soaking wet on the first day.Otherwise the staff were very helpful and speak good English as well.I would stay there again in the future.

Pretty cool and “different” hotel experience. The hotel is a retired river cruise boat that is permanently docked on the Danube. It’s a little dated, and the rooms are small but the rate was good and you can watch the show on the river 24/7. The location is slightly off the beaten path but a 5/10 minute walk gets you to the tram and you can go anywhere from there. The neighborhood by the hotel felt very safe and there were plenty of bistros and interesting shops to explore even though it’s not a tourist neighborhood. The staff was great overall although there were a couple of glitches. The recommended “jump on jump off” bus was not the best. I would go with Big Bus if I were to go again, and the recommended cab company was a rip-off. Use the Official company at the airport and keep their card and call them when you want to return. Overall we would definitely stay here again and don’t miss Margaret Island which is directly across from the hotel and an amazing park!

Average no frills accommodation.
Reasonably located within a brisk 15 minute walk to various shops and cafes. The hotel rooms, although small, were kept very clean and tidy by the daily maid service. The toilet cistern was running all night when we arrived but after speaking to reception, this was fixed the following day.The heating was very efficient and we had to turn it off every night despite it being around freezing outside. Most of the heat seemed to come from the fridge which was hotter on the inside than on the outside, hence most of the food we put in it got thrown out. Advertised as having Satellite TV in the room but ours only had two channels, both in Hungarian and only one with sound, even after reporting it to reception. Beds were comfy and shower was powerful and always had hot water. Breakfast OK but seemed rather expensive for what you got, as for evening meal, the food was very good but the menu was limited and the same every night. On the whole the hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were helpful and courteous.
