About Bahiacafe Hotel, Salvador

Salvador's colonial treasures, fun-loving nightlife, and famous beaches are all within easy reach of this boutique hotel in the Pelourinho district, the historic heart of the city. Stroll Pelourinho's narrow cobblestone streets, lined with colonial buildings. Stop for a savory Bahian snack, browse the artisan shops, and take in a high-energy capoeira show - a mixture of martial arts, acrobatics, and dance. Pelourinho, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also home to the Igreja Sao Francisco, a Baroque church with gorgeous gilded interiors, just a 2-minute walk from Bahiacafé Hotel. Visiting during Carnival? The hotel faces bustling Praca da Se Square, and you'll be steps from music, dancing, and revelry. In the mood for sunbathing and surf? Porto da Barra Beach, Farol da Barra Beach, and Ondina Beach are all within 4.5 kilometers (2.8 miles) of the hotel. A roundtrip 24-hour airport shuttle service is available (surcharge).

Wherever you're heading, you can start the day with the Bahiacafé Hotel's complimentary breakfast, featuring the freshest local fruit and juices, along with pastries and eggs. An Internet cafe on the main level provides complimentary wireless Internet access for guests. The restaurant showcases local specialties, including cocktails made with cachaça, the "spirit" of Brazil.

The hotel occupies a handsomely restored colonial building, and each of the 10 guestrooms provides a blend of old and new. Rooms include complimentary wireless Internet access. Other conveniences include in-room safes, phones, and hair dryers (on request). Furnishings are in a traditional Bahian style. Windows open to the fresh sea breezes, and rooms also have ceiling fans.

The hotel is in the perfect location to explore Salvador. The staff was amazing and very helpful- a bonus is that all the employees at reception speak English. The bed is very comfortable and the tv channels offered many languages. Wifi worked great. I will be staying here again on my next visit !!

Perfect place to stay in Pelo!!!!
We loved our stay at the Bahia Cafe Hotel!!! They took care of us from start to finish. All staff spoke English so we were able to get ideas for places to visit and eat. The detail put into the design to the inside of the building is amazing!!! They decorated with such a special and historical mind frame. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options and the view of the square from the breakfast area was a wonderful way to wake up each day. Jorge's Mango Caipirinhas and conversations at the small bar were wonderful. It was easy to take Uber's anywhere outside the Pelo: beaches, other neighborhoods, even Praia de Forte from this hotel location. As soon as you walk out the door you are near the Elevator to the Mercado and near all the busy squares. I will recommend this place to everyone when they visit Salvador. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Lots of memories were made here.

Awesome hotel
This place was really in a perfect location in the Pelorihno. All sites were within walking distance. The rooms were updated and in very good condition. There is a nice small bar downstairs that makes nice Caiprihnas. The even better aspects of this hotel were the staff and how helpful/friendly they were and the outstanding breakfasts. All around this hotel exceeded all possible expectations! Highly recommended.

My friend and I have years of hospitality experience and we were stunned and delighted how the owner thoughtfully and generously resolved a glitch in our reservation.the room was thoughtfully appointed and the hotel was spotless. The breakfast was delicious and well curated. Yuri, Jorge and Wallace always greeted us warmly and made out stay complete.
