The bathroom had a foul smell, receptionist not very attentive.., otherwise ok. Close to the exhibition center...

As expected, small room, but very clean. A bit of a walk to the hauptbahnhof, but easily doable.

Hotel showers and tubs need grab bars.
I have stayed at the Meininger hotel in Frankfurt several times. The hotel caters mostly to youth but so what. The location is fantastic. You can walk to the Messe, the S bahn is a short walk and there is a tram at the S bahn entrance if you like to see where you are. There are restaurants within a reasonable walk that feed you well at a reasonable cost. Yes the rooms are tight. So is the price. The breakfast is certainly up to scale with a good assortment of options excluding hot food like scrambled eggs with bacon. The coffee is good. The front desk help knows there stuff and is happy to share it. The room was clean and I was more then willing to leave a gratuity for the maid. My only complaint, and it applies generally, is the lack of a grab bar in the shower.

Lousy service
Trying to get a bill from the hotel is like pulling healthy teeth out, impossible. Never again will I stay there and pay 300 eur per night and receive such bad after service.

Fair 4.0
We planned on staying 2 nights but the first night, there was no parking nearby, it was by the rail system so we heard trains all night and it sounded like someone was moving furniture the entire night in the floor above us. It smelled like cigarette smoke and I was ready to leave after the first night. I called the front desk to ask them what it would look like to cancel the 2nd night since it was pre-paid and they said they would if said okay. called and could not get approval from the hotel. We lost one night of money spent for the second night plus the cost of another hotel where we could actually get some sleep.
