Very Good 8.0 From 326 reviews

    Good 6.0
    Could’ve been better
Quite during my stay. Lacy atmosphere and ambiance. It has potential but seemed neglected and staff could be more attentive. I sat in the restaurant for 15mins. I had to physically get up myself to get the menu. Food was good but service was poor. When it came to dessert I was exited to try the coconut ice cream in a fresh coconut. It was very disappointing. A time scoop of ice cream sitting on cubes of cut up bread Inside the coconut. It was the strangest combination and expected way more from a restaurant where you pay western prices. I was to find out afterwards that they had run out of sticky rice and had just substituted my desert with bread instead. Why wasn’t I given the option to change my order if the ingredients where not available. Why make something below restaurant standard just to serve up a dish. Very very poor chefs skills if you ask me and I was paying top dollar for this desert. Upon queering this to staff they seemed indifferent and very unhelpful and unphased that this had occured. You are better off staying someplace else, a bungalow on the beach would’ve been way nicer... dint waste you money here, it’s not worth it. If you won’t good Thai food go across the road to Mamma Dang for a massage and a lovely home cooked meal. Loved being so close to the temples

Totally missing its potential. Won't return
    i) HORRIFIC noise: I have never seen anything like this (and I have travelled all over the world) - they have built the main generator underneath the hotel beds. literally. the entire room is shaking and until about 2am every night the humming noise is terrible and you won't sleep! if you dare staying in this hotel - bring earplugs! strong ones. We complained every night and they didn't turn it off. "this is normal" was the response we got from staff. Btw, the hotel is also right underneath the starting route for the planes from the airport, so you have them right over your head every 30-60minutes. ii) Location: there's actually nothing around the hotel. no bars, no restaurants, and no real shopping (other than a 7-Eleven about 400m walk away). Anywhere you need to take a taxi to, which costs min. 400 bath one way for a family, or 800 return. No exceptions, and the hotel shuttle costs the same as well. So add at least US$30/day to the price of the hotel to make it comparable to Chaweng or other locations. (or $60/day if you want to visit two locations). Note: the "beach" at the hotel is next to the harbour and the water very dirty, so there's no-one swimming there. And staff tell you to take a taxi to another beach. The beach there is good for making sunset pictures, but that's it. iii) mosquitoes: the hotel grounds are actually nicely done with lots of ponds, fish, and plants. unfortunately there are lots and lots of mosquitoes breeding in them, and you get bitten constan

    Very Good 8.0
Pros: -beautiful rooms, spacious and clean. -our room had patio with private jetted tub and a little bench/bed to relax on -breakfast was pretty good -staff were wonderful -small in pool bar -quiete and secluded -a few small local restaurants (the outdoor kind) -the shower in the room was amazing. It was one of those rainfall showers with amazing pressure and felt great after swimming in sea salt all day. Cons: -since it’s furher away from a lot of the mAin streets and attractions you pay around 400 Baht one way to get anywhere. The only thing that is walkable is the big Buddha and a few little food vendors, and of course a seven eleven. -online it says rooms come with a clothes dryer, only the rooms with pool access get a drying rack, which we found after after doing all of our laundry and coming back with hopes of hanging it up. -the beach at the property is in a bay, it’s rocky and not very pretty and doesn’t look swimable. Overall we loved the property, just wish it had a better beach with views to relax on. But for the price you get a really nice accommodation and good customer service. It would be nice if they provided a shuttle maybe once or twice a day to some of the main drop off pick up spots because the taxis and grabs do start to add up, next time I would probably choose a location that is a bit closer to stuff.

wrong location, breakfast not good for 4 star hotel
The location of this hotel is far from everything. There are not many shop around. You need to hire a bike or take taxi. It is only about 15 minutes walk to big buda. It only only 10 minutes by taxi to airport but taxi is quite expensive, 400 bath just to go airport, some place charge 500 bath from airport to hotel. Beach of the hotel is not swimmable but they provide shuttle bus to go proper beach and Fisherman market. The breakfast is not good for a 4 star hotel. We stay 7 days and we had same food everyday, there was no variety of food at all. The toaster was not working either. There was no pool attendance and service was poor. We have to ask to get a towel for the pool. This hotel is over rated. What you see on the picture is not the same. The room was good, but we were not happy with breakfast and location of the hotel. You can hire motorbike from hotel and this is what we did to visit the island, taxi is really expensive. Motor bike for 24 hours is only 250 bath about $10 only, it is safer to hire from hotel. We recommend to take shuttle bus from hotel, go to beach, market and shopping centre. It is a small island only 3 hours on the bike to go around the island.

Ok but would not stay again
The good: - Nice grounds and beach. - Nice large room with balcony. - Great shower - large with rainforest shower head with good pressure. - Strong A/C, though loud. - I found an amazing deal so for me it was great value for money. The bad: - Horrible beds: Very hard mattress and very soft or very hard pillows (nothing in between). Type of mattress you see in 500 Baht/night hotels around Asia. It definitely did not belong at this level of a hotel. Asked reception to add a pad, or even the mat from the pool chairs but they did nothing. Woke up with back pain everyday. Would have checked out if I had not pre-paid on a non-refundable rate. - Lousy Wi-fi. Slow and you have to keep re-logging in numerous times a day. - Lousy restaurant: Quite overpriced and quality and service is very poor. Think chewy chicken, staff that spend their time chit-chatting and flirting with each other, and all at 3 times the market price. Fortunately one of Samui's best rated casual restaurants is a 5 minute walk away - I ate there almost every day.
