Nice stay generally. Nice old hotel, room cozy. Location not walkable from city centre, train connection good. Neighbourhood mixed, not ideal, choice of restaurants cafes limited.

Neighborhood Gem
A spectacular property with an amazing restaurant, located in a residential neighborhood of Glasgow. Train station is 2 blocks away and it's a 10 minute ride to the center of the city. The staff were very friendly and worked hard to make our stay memorable. Rooms were cozy and updated, but the mattress needed to be replaced. Overall, a great value for the money.

Gordon Ramsey stared at me!
Great hotel in city centre. Huge individual rooms (each room is named after a scot with a huge picture above your bed) posh cocktail bar downstairs and everything you would need in a hotel. Parking nearby which is free after 6pm - even in a large van I could park there. Only flaw was the 10 min wait to check-in, not hotels fault, just the idiot couple in front.

Nice but would not stay here again
The hotel was pretty close to the station and was nice. The bathroom could use a little updating but they had nice complimentary toiletries. The big issue that we had was the noise!! There was a wedding or some event going on and the music was so loud it was just beating through the walls. I couldn't call down since the buttons on the phone were not labeled and my husband was already asleep. I decided to just hope for the best. Thankfully the loud pounding music was over a little after 11pm. The hotel should really invest in some sound proofing because I had a headache for the better part of the next day.

Very comfortable
We really liked this place. The room was comparatively large and attractive, the staff was friendly and the bar and restaurant were excellent. If you're on the south side of Glasgow to see the Burrell Collection and the House for an Art Lover, as we were, this is a great place to stay.
