I want to start off with saying this place is for people who appreciate "Texas charm" but, if you're looking for high class lodging this is NOT the place for you. If you're a Texas charm person, you'll appreciate the quirks. The view is hands down there absolute reason you'll book. The other reviews are mad about dust, old furnishing, musty smells, bugs..... IYKYK Texas hill country is about all of the above. I will say our toilet didn't work the first two nights and owner didn't really try to fix the issue for us until I personally went instead of my husband. The issue was fixed the third day. Breakfast? Plan to go get breakfast somewhere. The owner seems to be the only person running the place and it shows--- but if you love mountains, outside, songs of birds..... Book it. Get a suite!!!

This is a beautiful property. The views were exquisite. Unfortunately, the amenities here were lacking. They described breakfast, there was no breakfast offered. They said they had ice, it was broken, the map at the counter of the front desk indicates there is an on site laundry facility, there isn't. For me personally it was an average night at a mediocre hotel, that we happened to get lucky with great scenery. The gentleman at the counter was really really nice though so that made it a lot easier to digest.

The mattress and remote were held together with duct tape. The floor left your feet a interesting brown color. The lobby had the workers snacks sitting under the coffee table and the breakfast was scary looking enough we decided to pass on eating it despite booking a place with breakfast being our priority. The pool was closed and hadn't looked cleaned in a long time. And overall we laughed at how ridiculous it really seemed. Bravo on the photos of the advertisement because they managed to make it look much nicer. The view was wonderful and it was cheap. So if your willing to laugh and be a little uncomfortable it's okay.

Great place for a little getaway
