Nice hotel in a lovely village in Connemara...large rooms that can easily fit a family, and some are hostel-style, while others are private with private bathrooms. Restaurant downstairs has amazing food for dinner, although the 7 Euro breakfast is pretty basic.

Excellent Stay!
Close to Kylemore Abbey and was a great place to stay in the evening. Delicious restaurants in walking distance and the room was very clean.

Relaxed home from home with lovely fire
Amazing for a hostel much better and more comfortable than many B&Bs I have stayed in.amazing value for 30euros/night off season very impressed and will definitely return in Spring!.Staff very welcoming and place is relaxing with really cool, eclectic decoration;my room had one comfortable double bed and a bunk bed in it so be perfect for a family of 4 or solo or couple.the kitchen was massive with three small sofas to w hobs and a kitchen bar with stools so plenty of room and was nice to meet other overseas visitors ; the place feels safe .The fire place in the downstairs lounge kept us cosy.Janice, Marie and Hilda were great hostesses and on head when needed ; the continental breakfast is good value (not cooked) for only 5 euros extra and their is complimentary good quality tea coffee and filter coffee in the bar area freely available. The hostel has plentiful free parking which is always a boon and is just next to the Letterfrack'high street' with an excellent out Veldens Sea Farer which has excellent seafood and again a cosy fire! Only down side is the bedroom got cold -visited in January despite the central heating and none in bathroom but Janice kindly gave me an oil heater to use which did the trick!wifi was strong another bonus considering relatively rural location next to Connemar Park-good base for Clifden, Cong and Country Mayo and Galway is 47 miles away.

Pet-friendly, clean, well-appointed & comfortable
I was there just for the night, having missed the 7:30 pm ferry to Inishbofin - didn't feel like driving all the way back home to Clare and back again in the morning, or putting my dog through the trip. I was able to secure the last private room on, and the reception desk was staffed until I arrived after having dinner in Galway. The bed was comfortable; there were bunk beds too, as it was a family room. The room was spotless, the toilet modern and nicely laid out, and the shower spacious. There was a little bit of mould on the ceiling above the shower, which I'm sure the management will deal with. There were some pleasant 20-somethings from the Continent in the kitchen across from my room, which was also spacious and well-appointed, with a big island, dishwasher, sitting area and computer desk. I couldn't stay for breakfast but I was very happy with my stay and will definitely return again for a leisure visit some time.
