One Night at Atrium Hotel
It was just average. The staff at front desk was not friendly, although she ordered a cab for me. Friendliness goes a long way!

weekend trip
The neighborhood had a lot of restaurants and stores. The room felt old, but it was clean. Good breakfast.

Not the best experience
First thing I would like to note is that climate control means only heat. There is no air conditioning. That was our mistake, hopefully no one does the same in the future. When we checked in our room was being cleaned so we just stuck are bags in the room and left for the day. That night when we got to our room I opened the fridge to put some things we picked up at the nearby grocery store and was practically sprayed in the face with ammonia. It was so bad that we nearly had to leave the room and find another hotel. I called the phone number for the hotel as reception was closed for the night and the women said someone would come to fix the fridge. Luckily, later that night around 20:00 someone came and took out the broken fridge. In the afternoon before our last night (we stayed 4 total) I got a call asking me to come to reception. When I asked why I was told to just come down in 30 min. I went down and the women at the desk and someone else that worked there made several accusations that we damaged the room. This was problematic for 2 reasons: first, we didn't damage anything and second, it shows that they do not respect the privacy of their guests as we had the do not disturb sign on our door from the beginning. These accusations came from the clock radio that was in the room (that they show is and say we broke it, all we did was unplug it. After several minutes of being yelled at we convince her to plug it in and see that it works. Once she saw that it works she begins accusing us of breaking the ammonia filled refrigerator, which was broken when we got to the room. Needless to say, the staff was not pleasant at all, very quick to jump to conclusions, and DOES NOT respect their guests privacy.

Room was clean and towels were changed daily
Not very comfortable, or any feeling of security. The place was more like a prison and had to carry three keys with me at all times, no safe to put valuables,or passport/ipad etc. The reception is closed as of 8pm and no staff around if you had a problem. The breakfast was a few tables placed next to reception and it had a cold austere silent atmosphere. The breakfast itself was simple .but not worth the money I paid for the room compared to much more upmarket hotels nearby. The place is really a converted block of flats and should really trade as a guest house, not a hotel. The staff I did meet had no interpersonal skills and every thing was yes or no answers.I would not recommend this "hotel".
