Very Good8.0
I check in with high expectation and check out with a just so-so. It was ranked as five stars and I truly believed it is over-rated. Compared with Four Season at nearby which I also stayed few months ago, I believed they were much better. The staff at the pool are more interested selling you the drinks instead of pampering the hotel guests. Everything is so profit driven that I deplore the absence of good services from the heart.

Not the same as it was, but still my #1 choice.
Wonderful oasis of calm from the craziness of the strip, but the management has gone downhill the last couple years. Our TV didn’t work, but management did fix it. The TV in the bathroom (not so important but I do like to listen to the news while I get ready for the day) didn’t work. A fee for one extra coffee packet was $2.50. The hotel ended up comping it, so that was appreciated. But a note for the wrong guest was delivered twice to our room. But overall, it’s pretty awesome in terms of the decor (although our room was a bit small and a little tired) and the afternoon tea is worth every penny, although it was a LOT of pennies for three of us. The staff is FANTASTIC. Because of several problems, the hotel comped us the parking fees. That was really appreciated.

Calm in the middle of chaos
Lovely, quiet hotel. Lobby on 23rd floor. Need to take two elevators to get to room. Room is lovely. Offered to deliver daily paper but never delivered. Had to call for ice 3 times. Pool service is exceptional.

Don't even consider staying anywhere else
An exquisite hotel with great service and a very attentive staff. When my wife and I travel to Vegas, we never even consider staying anywhere else. If you are in Vegas and are seeking an oasis, the Mandarin is just that.
