Wentworth House - Guest House, Bath
Unhappy in Bath, UK
I thought I was booking a B and B and apparently, this is considered a hotel in the UK. Someone who takes their private home and creates an enormous amount of rooms. Not what I wanted. We had a room in the basement, had a damp odor to it and there was poor air circulation. Although clean, it was not first class as it had been promoted. The pool was closed and the parking was a nightmare. It was also the most expensive per night than any of my other stays while I was in the country. Very disappointing.

Convient and Comfortable
Very convenient to City Centre Bath. Receptionist recommended awesome restaurant/bar within walking distance. Not a new place, but very clean and comfortable.

Very Good8.0
We booked in last minute, they were very nice and accommodating. I only with we had at least a fan because it was so hot with the heat wave that it was difficult to sleep. We did enjoy the walk down into the city center, took about 20 minutes to walk downhill. The walk back uphill was even nice, it just took a few minutes longer. I would consider staying again, as long as there is not a heat wave...

The town of Bath Is amazing! This hotel is not. Upon check-in the front desk person was very curt and fairly unwelcoming. The room was adequate and spacious. However, the fire alarm went off around 3am. All the tenants in the hotel were outside waiting. Nothing happened. We waited about 15 min and then we (the tenants) had to call the fire department. The hosts never said anything about it that night or the next day. The fireman that we called had to tell us it was okay to come back inside. So stay in Bath, just don't stay here.
