Lovely business trip to Zurich
Statthotel is in a great location for touring around the highlights of Zurich. The neighborhood is charming and packed with excellent shopping and restaurants. The hotel itself is very close to the main train station, less than a 10 minute walk away. The hotel itself is just fine. All the basics are covered and you have a nice Nespresso machine in the room. I had a little kitchenette as well that I enjoyed. The bed was super firm, no sheet just a duvet and one pillow. There was someone at reception when I arrived but I never saw anyone else there the rest of my stay. There’s no lobby or breakfast, but I found it to be a perfectly nice stay for business travel.

Small & Efficient
Services are limited to check in/out and the daily cleaning - if you want more you'll have to stay elsewhere. Rooms are small (with the exception of one suite) but efficient. Location within 10min to almost everything: from central railway station to major sightseeing objects.

Convenient location, but certainly not luxurious!
This hotel is in a good location close to the shops and restaurants of the old town, although the entrance is in a small alley, which is hard to find and might be unsafe later in the evenings. The room was very small and cramped, and the shower was not suitable for taller people (I'm 5 foot 6 inches and I'd say that the roof of the shower was only a couple of inches above my head)! The staff were friendly and helpful when they were, however the reception desk closed early in the evening. This meant that when I arrived I had to get my key card from a dispensing machine at the front door, by means of a special code. I was unaware of this procedure when I arrived and had to call the contact number and eventually they gave me the code over the phone. Also when I accidentally locked myself out of my room in the evening when the reception wasn't manned, I had to ring the office and get an emergency key card from the machine with a new code. This all seemed very strange and inconvenient to me. The building is old with original wooden beams in the ceiling, which added a bit of character, but the bathroom and hallways stank of plugin air-fresheners. There is free wifi, but you have to keep logging in again every half hour. Otherwise you can pay for wifi to avoid this. As Zurich is an expensive city this hotel perhaps presents a budget-ish option in a very central and convenient location, however if you are looking for a luxurious hotel this isn't it!

Worth it
Great location, incredibly nice staff, very clean, modern room. The shower is awesome! Strong water pressure and spacious. The bed is comfortable. There were little extras like a nespresso machine and a philips mood light. The only downside was that it was very warm in the room. There is a fan, but AC would make the stay perfect. I highly recommend this hotel
