Metropolis Hotel, Athens
Tiny room in excellent location
Location is excellent and front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms are very tiny, although to be fair the room size is accurately noted on the description. It was nice to have a balcony but still felt very cramped in the room, especially with two people.

The staff at the front desk were absolutely wonderful! They were very friendly and helpful. Loved the couch in the reception room. We collapsed there every day after being out and about and discussed our wanderings with the staff there. The pictures of the rooms made them look spacious. But the photographer must have torn down a wall to give the feel of expansiveness. The view from our private panoramic terrace was outstanding! But there was a smell of rancid water in a corner of the terrace.

Will stay again
Everything great! Everyone was very friendly. Only negative was the air-conditioning didn't cool enough. We stayed on two different occasions within a week and I had two different rooms... same problem. All 4 of us were very uncomfortable with the temperature. Everything else was amazing.

Great location but very small rooms
This hotel is excellently located and close to all Athens sightseeing attractions, shops, restaurants, bars, etc. The views from the rooftop terrace were truly amazing. The bedroom was very small with only enough space to store one suitcase and the bathroom was absolutely tiny. Okay for one or two nights but not very practical for a longer stay. During our visit the hot water was out of action from 7pm to 8pm whilst they carried out repairs. Choose a room on the opposite side to the cathedral, otherwise you will kept awake by the clock chiming all night. Also, we had lots of problems with internet access. Overall an enjoyable stay but it could have been better.

Small clean room, breakfast with view of Acropolis
Although our room was too small for three people, it was clean and comfortable, and very near attractions. Breakfast buffet was served on their roof top with a view of the Acropolis. Nice!!
