Hotel Bayrischer Hof, Heidelberg

Noisy and hot during summer
No air conditioning, no fan during summer = one of my worst hotel experiences ever. This place was already located in a very busy location, and since there was no AC we had to keep the windows open so it was super noisy in this tiny, hot room. Also, really bad/slow/almost non-existant wi-fi connection, and pesky mosquitos only made things worse. In addition, the breakfast was definitely NOT worth the price of 14.95 euros, we should've checked the price before we went because the taste and choices of the breakfast buffet left much to be desired. All in all the night & breakfast were not worth our money.

wont' stay again , bad!
Very bad experience of this stay, we arrived around 10:05pm but nobody was there and can't get into the room, we didn't get any email or call from the bookings, and then we have to find another location to stay, and the next morning we went to the hotel, was told can't find my reservation and then I have to again, won't stay there again!!!! also, room is small, very loud ,not clean, also hot!

Hotel is in a great location, however, they were not helpful in how you could tour, view other areas within Germany. We requested help in going to see the the Wineries in the Rhine Region and they were not able to help.

Three day stay in heidelberg
Stayed in apartment while visiting son in heidelberg. Location was central to shopping district and within walking distance of restaurants etc. Enjoyed the extra space of living room and kitchen. The bathroom was poorly lit though with bugs in the one overhead ceiling fixture. The neighborhood is noisy at night so better to stay here when cool so you can close the windows. Overall convenient for us because we had a car and the apartment included parking garage.

Incredible staff!
I travel frequently and rarely do I encounter such fantastic staff! This hotel was one of the best I have stayed in for the quality of the room, breakfast, and location. My only complaint was that our room was extremely noisy, the movements above and below seemed to echo throughout the night. They did however, provide complimentary ear plugs.
