Bad hotel_ dirty linen, poor service
We booked 2 rooms for 6 nights in this hotel_ we were misguided by the photographs on the net and expedia website. On reaching the hotel we were shocked to find the dirty rooms, dirty linen etc. When questioned, the hotel staff was arrogant and indifferent. The room service is pathetic- you cannot get a cup of tea till 7 am, that too after 45 min from the time you order! Fortunately expedia staff responded and we could vacate the hotel after two nights by paying for three nights. My word of advise_ do not believe any photograph of any hotel on the web. Also dont book for more than one night on line. As regards Sarin Inn - please avoid it if you can.

Comfortable but plain
There are two buildings; the second is in Sigra, 5 km away from the Cantonment. (Be sure you go to the right one; the hotel does not offer transportation between the two, which I found disappointing.). Otherwise, the hotel is fine; clean enough, comfortable bed. It can be noisy, but this is typical of all hotels that have no carpeting in the halls to absorb noise.

Hotel sarin inn in varanasi
Location was not very convenient,as ghats are very far away.Food was very bad and so was the service.At first the gave us a very smelly very badly maintained room,but when objected they shifted us to a good room which was satisfactory.But overall not a very comfortable stay as service was really very slow.Though the staff was polite and well mannered.

Hotel Sarin Inn
The hotel is a lot further from Assi Ghat than 1.9km which it says it is. Also the area it is in is quite empty of any facility's such as restaurants. The bathroom was dirty when we arrived and we had to ask to have it cleaned. Over all not a great stay, i would advise if visiting Varanasi to go straight to the old city, it is a little full on but has lots of guest houses and is next to the river.

Nicht zu empfehlen
In dem ersten Zimmer in das wir geführt wurden waren mehrere grosse Blutspuren auf der Matratze zu sehen. Wir haben deshalb um ein neues Zimmer gebeten. Die Männer an der Rezeption wollten uns daraufhin einreden, dass das Blut auf der Matratze nur Farbflecken seien. Schliesslich zeigte man uns dann doch neue Zimmer. In dem ersten davon befand sich eine ca. 1 cm dicke Schicht Schimmel auf einer der Wände. Wieder wollte uns der Rezeptionist erzählen, dass das nur Farbe sei. Das dritte Zimmer war dann halbwegs annehmbar, hatte aber keine Fenster und die Bettwäsche und Klamotten waren immer irgendwie klamm. Wir haben ausserdem im Hotel um Handtücher gebeten. Die kamen zwar immer schnell auf Anfrage, waren aber alle nass, so dass wir sie immer erst eine Nacht zum Trocknen aufhängen mussten. Einziger Lichtblick: das Hotel ist recht zentral gelegen und das Personal ware sehr freundlich.
