Very run down Overpriced cabin- no river
First, I booked a King bed through hotels.com but only Queens were available. The owner was accommodating to bring us a pull out bed, but the cabin was not what we were expecting. It was VERY run down and dirty for the cost of the room, and we killed 2 roaches inside during the 1 night we sownt there. There were minimal dishes and cookware available, and no dish soap, sponges, extra toilet paper, or other basics on arrival. These are not "Riverfront." The "river" is barely a creek and is over 1/4 mile from the cabin through overgrown woods full of trash. No functioning TV or internet which was advrrtised. Again, the owners seem nice but I feel VERY ripped off for the price we paid, perhaps this room is worth 1/3rd of that price.

Be Forewarned!
The property is approximately 10 minutes from the Ash Mountain entrance to the park--which is great; and the park itself is otherworldly beautiful. Those attributes, for some, perhaps could offsite the actual lodging experience--which is a train wreck. I did not receive my cabin key for 24 hours after check in, so had to leave the cabin unlocked when away. Impossible to find "onsite" staff person for basics, such as bath towel replacement. And the cabins (while charming) are not nearly as well maintained as they could have been--instead dusty and neglected. If you have a sturdy constitution--you'll be fine. But if you have difficulty with the more authentic aspects of rustic lodging--you will have a very difficult time with Riverfront Cabins.

Nice location on the river, but rooms were poor and not worth the money (over $200 per night). Water was river water and there was no drinking water provided in room. TV didn't work, had to call management to get the gas stove turned on.

Beautiful river & close to National Park entrance
Temperature was 105-108 degrees during 3 day stay in late June. Couldn't enjoy walking along the river at 8 p.m. (when it finally cooled off) because pit bull dog was loose and I didn't trust the animal.

River fun
The room was spacious and clean, more like a cabin than a room. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Monica. It is very rustic but also comfortable.
