Hotel Sunlite is typical Japanese hotel
Stayed at the Sunlite for 3 nights. It was just on the outskirts of the main Shinjuku area. The hotel itself was nice. I stayed in the main building so I cannot speak about the Annex building across the street. My room was standard Japanese size, which is about the size of a small room on a cruise ship lol. It is small. There was a very small open closet where you could hang several items, but no dresser. The bathroom was small as well. The hotel is within walking distance to the subway and to the central part of Shinjuku. The room AC worked well. The hotel did provide wifi; however, it was not high-speed by any means LOL so I used my pocket wi-fi instead. There was a VERY small refrigerator in the room. The tv was mounted on the wall at the end of the bed and was decent size. The bed was firm (standard in all the hotels I've stayed at in Japan) and the pillow was ok (not the beans inside). I'm not sure I would stay here again as I would have preferred a little larger room.

Great stay!
Hotel was nice. Bed and room was clean, and comfortable. Would have been very tight for more than one person.

Value for money, quite good location
I have stayed at Sunlite more than a dozen times. It is a typical Japanese buainess hotel. Rooms are small but functional. My only complaint is there are no English TV channels, other than that it is generally pretty good value for money. Handy to Shinjuku and Kabukicho, lots of food options nearby.

Great Economic Hotel
Sunlite Shinjuku was clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful when we were trying to make reservations to a show, and would answer questions if they could. The beds were comfortable (very important), and they provided free wifi. They even gave us a router for the room because we were having problems with connection. The location is a very short walk from Golden Gai and other central Shinjuku sites. There was a metro station within a block or two making it very convenient. There's a family mart within about a block where you can buy water/snacks. You can eat breakfast at the hotel for about $1,000 yen each or there's a bakery/pastry shop next door that has coffee and pastries for breakfast/lunch. Additionally, in the evening the hotel sells their left-over breads and pastries for $100 yen each. Over all this hotel was GREAT and we'd stay again. Just a word of warning, be careful not to lose your room key cards, you will be charged $1,000 yen. It was our own fault, but we found that out the hard way upon checkout.
