stay in ao nang beach or west-railay
when you trevel by yourself. The hotel is a little bit far from west railay with your luggage. I recommend to stay in ao nang beach. if you will stay in east railay. you can easily go to west railay from ao nang beach anytime

Rude and ignorant staff / totally run down hotel
Worst check-in experience ever. Room was booked and paid via Hotels.com but receptionist Mr. K. Somsak O. refused to give us a room although we had a voucher, saying he doesn't know hotels.com and doesn't got any email. He refused to help but said, it's our problem not his. Even after calling hotel.com and speaking to them he wouldn't check us in. Staff treated us very unfriendly and yelled at us. Meanwhile the same problem happened to two girls who also tried to check-in into their online booked room. After several emails sent from hotel.com and several international calls after more than an hour waiting time we finally got into our room. Room was dark and moldy. We were glad to check out next morning. We were happy to skip the poor included breakfast.

Good decent stay
We stayed in this hotel with my friend. The hotel is very nice, still in good condition, rooms were clean and comfortable.Quite decent stay for the price. Te only issue was a lunch where we ordered chicken curry and it was really bad,not tasty at all. Buffet breakfast was good enough, nothing special but good though. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Standard rooms such. Avoid!
We booked a regular room ($52CAN) for two nights. It was a room with 1 queen bed and one single bed, garden view. I can't speak for the higher value rooms, but I can tell you that the regular rooms are in the back of the resort, clearly the oldest part of the resort. The room was falling apart. The bed mattress of the main bed was so uncomfortable, my back was aching within minutes! I slept on the smaller bed, which was a bit better, but clearly a very old mattress. The linen was extremely old and felt like sandpaper. Again, maybe they keep the best linen for the higher paid rooms? The bathroom was falling apart, literally. The miror fell in front of our eyes, and while trying to take the shower spray gun in our hands, its support came off the wall. The AC was blasting directly towards the bed, resulting in my wife getting a sore throat. The only thing this room has for it is that it is spacious. But who cares about the space when you don't want to spend any kind of time in that room? We paid 2/3 of that price in Krabi, with so much more comfort. On Railay, we ended up switching hotel to one higher up the mountain (5 minute walk from there). The view was spectacular, we could watch climbers, and our room which ended up costing us $15CAN more was incredibly better. Best $15 bucks I invested per day during my trip on Railay Beach. The rest of the hotel grounds were OK. Pool was nice. Breakfast was good, but often cold (heaters don't work).

Crummy
I remember a few years back this place used to be great. But like many hotels in popular locations around Thailand, I think they are accustomed to easy customers, and tourists who pass through for a few days, rarely to ever return again, so quality customer service and high standards are not on their radar unfortunately. It's still a decent location on Railay East, and more affordable than some spots, but really has not been kept up well at all. Even though I booked in advance and asked for a large bed, the best they could do for our romantic weekend getaway was two single beds pushed together uncomfortably. Customer service was almost nonexistent. I mean, they're lovely people, but seriously, hardly anyone here speaks any English, and they seem like they get no training of any sort. It was exceptionally difficult to communicate with them or get anything done, and I speak some basic Thai myself too. So had to rely on my girlfriend (Thai national) to communicate with them, even when the poor girl was sick in bed for 2 days with food poisoning. I was surprised that nobody even knew what the word "emergency" means, when I asked if they had an emergency kit. Not a good sign in a hotel, there's a very few words that EVERYONE should know. Guess I can't expect genius, but the place has an exceptionally low expectation for their staff now. Really was not impressed considering I was paying $75 a night, in Thailand.
