Horrendous House Keeping and Front Desk Service
Booked an Ocean View room but was "upgraded" to a Panoramic View room. You would wonder why I am unhappy about the upgrade. Well, the view I had from my balcony was a huge tree trunk. I could not see the ocean at all. I requested to change rooms since part of the reason I came to this resort was the view. Since I was told to dial either 0 or 1 for any kind of assistance, I dialled 1 but it was engaged so I dialled 0. Turns out 0 was house keeping. The immensely unhelpful staff on the other end of the line told me to call 1 instead, when I said it was engaged, she repeated three times "call again". When I finally got through to front desk, the atrociously rude staff started screaming in my ear "You don't like your room? You know we upgraded for you? If you don't like then we give you back your room. That one noisy. You want to change? If you don't like your free upgrade then we change." So now I know why I was given a FREE UPGRADE. Because renovations were ongoing for the original room I booked. She sent a bellboy to bring us to a room that was still renovating. She didn't even bother to check which room was available for guests. Poor bellboy apologised profusely for something that was not his fault. The general service there was bad. The BBQ buffet was cold and unappetising, with a "mute" chef refusing to answer us when we queried what was the dish in front of her. We will NEVER return to this resort nor recommend it. Den, the bellboy, was a delight though.

    Exceptional 10.0
Perfect customer service, the staff is so friendly. Especially BB from the front desk who arranged an upgrade and late check-out for us. The hotel arranged a birthdaycake for my sister and rose petals on the bed with HBD. We were so susprised, the sweetest thing. The Panoramic room is just amazing. Very spacious room with shower, very nice infinity pool around the corner, bath on the balcony with stunning sea view. A few minutes walk from the hotel entrance to the room: 1 elevator, a few stairs, the second elevator, a very short walk and then the third elevator. It’s called a Cliff resort for a reason ;) Breakfast is really good. A lot to do also outside the hotel: massages, several restaurants. Better to book your tours and transfers outside the hotel, since it is much cheaper. Tip: do NOT Book at the counter at the beach called Longtail boat service & Tourist Information (875 Moo 2 T. Aonang). Women at the counter talk to you as if you’re stupid, calling out names and laughing right at your face when you are asking for more info. Not even to mention the ripping off (buy a Two way ticket to Railay Beach, but once you want to go back they tell you need to buy new tickets double the price otherwise they refuse to take you back to Aonang Beach. Walk a bit further on the boulevard for the other kiosk). Yet, our great experience at the hotel outweighted the nasty experience with this touroperator.

Nice hotel in a great location
We stayed at Aonang Cliff Beach Resort for 3 nights in November 2016, at a Panorama Seaview room. The hotel is located on the slope of a hill, and consists of several separate buildings. To get to our room, which was at the back of the property, we needed to take 3 different sets of elevators in different buildings. It's easy to get lost when you first walk to your room by yourself. Each building has a single elevator, and it can get busy during peak time, such as breakfast. There is also a complimentary electric shuttle car available on request (for carrying luggage etc). The location is great, right in the centre of the Aonang tourist area, with plenty of restaurants, massage shops and others around. It's an easy 10 minute walk to Aonang beach. Most of the bars and restaurants at the hotel close by 7pm, which is a shame. If dinner at the hotel there is only a buffet restaurant in front of the main lobby. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a bath-tub on the balcony, allowing you to soak in the tub while overlooking the view (but no jacuzzi jets). Wi-Fi coverage was good. The buffet breakfast had a good selection of Asian and Western dishes. There's a good-size infinity pool just above the breakfast area overlooking the ocean and the mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the hotel is nice and comfortable (once you get used to the maze of buildings), and the location is great. I'll stay there again when in Krabi.

Centralized Location with Many Nearby Amenities!
Hotel provide slippers, bedroom slippers, robe, beach mat and beach travel bag, comes in handy for island tour. Right next to hotel is 24 hour Mac and 7-11, massage parlor is just across the road. A stretch of drinking pubs (RCA) is also within 5 mins walk. Get to Ao Nang Beach in 10 mins, hotel provides free shuttle to Andamana Beach at specific timing, didnt have chance to explore during stay. Hotel also have a sunset bar (5-7pm), this is the first hotel i stayed without a night bar. Infinity Pool is really cool, try to visit in the morning as early as 8am else will be very crowded. Breakfast variety is not much, staff cooking omelette simply doesnt care about your order. For the 4 nights i stayed there, everyday the order is wrong. Even if you stand there and point to him/her what ingredients you would like in your omelette is still wrong! Coffee is free flow but you have to keep asking for it, which i find it very cumbersome. Lobby staff on 3rd floor and 1st floor are always impatient when you ask for help to call driver. Overall only the bell boys are most helpful and always chirp to greet you when you walk past level 3 lobby to your room. For service wise, dont expect much, its a total disgrace for a 4-star hotel. For buffet breakfast also dont expect much, but it can fill your stomach. For location wise, it's more than awesome, you will love it. I like what is provided inside the room, not stingy with mineral water. You get 4 bottles a day regardless if you finish it

Nice hotel but front desk service sucks
The hotel is very nice but the service sucks especially the front desk/reception. They are very rude with guests (could be due to overcrowding at this time of the yr but that still does not justify a rude behavior). Despite us being given our room 30 mins late than check in time because the hotel didn't have manpower to clean it up on time, we were called at 11.50am on our check out date and asked to vacate in 10 mins as other guests were waiting. How on earth other guests could be waiting at 11.50am when the check in time is 2.00pm and we were given our room only at 2.30pm. When I raised my voice and asked for 15 more mins, the front desk staff took it very personally and then made my check out very embarassing. They sent the housekeeping staff to search each and every corner of the room and see if things are in order and finally told me that the room has sleepers missing. I was quite annoyed as I didn't even get the sleepers in the room, then how on earth I am going to know that there are sleepers in the room. Seems the sleepers were never there, the inventory were not checked during handing over the room to me but now I was being held responsible for these missing sleepers. In the end, they let me go by signing off a memo that I was not responsible for the loss of the sleepers. Asking a guest to write and sign off such a memo for a $10 sleepers who has paid more than $1000 to stay at the hotel is not at all hospitable. Seems they made my life difficult delibrately.
