No service when it comes to room service.
The room was small but comfortable. The food was good. The problem was the front desk. If you want to order room service, you are required to call the front desk. The only problem is, they never answer the phone. Both nights when I wanted dinner, I had to get dressed again and go upstairs to the front desk and find somebody to take my food order. Not impressive!

Charming
This is a charming hotel in a lovely location with reasonable rates and I would return. It is in need of a little updating and I think they might be in the process of doing this, but I'm not sure what their plans are. There is a fair amount of dust in communal areas at the moment. The leisure facilities are a little disappointing and could do with a good clean, especially the changing rooms. Our twin room was cosy and had everything we needed, we particularly appreciated the very efficient blackout curtains. Small niggles, the grout in the shower could do with a clean as it's taken on that orange colour that just needs a good brush or scourer. There weren't very many tea bags or milk portions. Breakfast was tasty and satisfying. Parking is easy and reasonably priced. The staff were all friendly, well presented, articulate and keen to help. We enjoyed our stay.

Some really bad bits
Half hour wait to book in..no one in reception. Room cramped. Cushions dirty carpet wet in places. Cut toe nails on dressing table. Appears feacal matter rear bathroom door surround at top nd side. Door hanger on door falling off. One bath towel dirty full of hair left folded in rack. On plus bed linen clean .toiletries lovely. Bath nd screen clean nd shower hot nd powerful. Room just needs proper clean nd window fixing as its permenantly open. Curtains filthy.

Nightmare stay!
My car was broken into within an hour of parking and no-one in the hotel knew how to use the cctv system. When it was looked at the only place in the car park where images couldn't be picked up was where my car was parked. Nightmare!!
