Would most definitely stay time and time again!
I was absolutely blown away when we arrived at Megan's Point. It is always from the airport and as the driver was still going and going I began to wonder "just exactly where is this place?" Then we arrived to this wonderful oasis! Every detail is EXACTLY like the pictures! The clean fresh water pool, the bar, work out room, tennis, the live music on Monday nights, we missed the BBQ party at Megan's Bay but heard it was nice. Rooms were very clean and serviced every day. The fully stocked/supplied kitchenette was just perfect! We were quite cozy in the beautiful room just steps away from the pool and just couldn't stop staring at the bay all day! Wanda at the from desk is a true few indeed. She makes you feel right at home. Everyone was very nice and I would most definitely stay at this resort time and time again! If your looking for a five star resort keep on looking but if your down to earth and can appreciate a well kept building/landscape that offers a true taste of the island life then please make the choice to stay a Megan's Point Resort! We can't wait to go back!

Most horrible experience of my life
My family and I traveled home for a funeral and stayed at this hotel out of necessity. The other hotels were completely booked. I saw the reviews but hoped that the others were exaggerating. They were not. Yes, the staff was kind and friendly but the place was horrible. Let's put it this way, they moved us 4 times within 24-hours of our arrival. If you have a problem with stairs, avoid this place (my poor elderly mother). If you need things clean and neat, avoid this place. If you expect to sleep on a comfortable bed, avoid this place. If you'd like to avoid breaking your neck on the wet walkway alongside the pool as you walk from your hotel room to the front desk, avoid this place. If you'd like a location with adequate air conditioning, avoid this place. To sum it up, avoid this place.

Magen's Point
Room was okay. Needed some attention. Hard to get towels. Everyone was friendly. If rating was based on staff helpfulness and friendliness, they would get a five for sure.

Overall very nice experience
My girlfriend and I spent our 2 night/3 day stay at Magen's Point and we were both pleased with our choice. It's not a modern-luxury resort, but a charmingly rustic, comfortable, centrally located resort-style hotel that offers great value and friendly, accommodating staff. Rooms are being renovated and refurnished so look out for that in the future. Our premium room was actually an apartment (with independent access and separate living room and kitchen), more than enough space for two people, and offered nice mountain and ocean views. I highly recommend renting a car during your stay due to the somewhat 'separate' location of the resort. The rental proved to be the best choice for us as we like to travel the island independently and on our own schedule. There is a cool little coffee shop/convenient store on-site that offers pastries, groceries, cooler-rentals, etc. for decent prices, as well as a bar and restaurant. We did visit the store but not the restaurant or bar. The hotel staff is super friendly and aims to please. The room was comfortable (a/c worked great as did the plumbing). Parking for guests is free. Its close to Magens Bay Beach and everything else is within 14 minutes. Ideal to use as a launch-point for your daily sightseeing adventures. If you want an ultra-luxury, beach-front hotel this isn't for you, but bang for buck, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better hotel in St. Thomas than Magens Point.

Loved it!
Ok, I should mention that we are cat people. My daughter was absolutely delighted at the friendly, sleek-furred, well-socialized cats that came to the call of "kitty kitty kitty". One even "cat"apulted himself across a couple of low brick walls to run to us (apparently expecting food and petting, which we happily gave him!) Why am I focusing on this? Because this single feature made my child happy, and everyone knows that a happy child makes for a happy vacation!! The hotel rooms were beautiful! What a view to wake up to! Nicely appointed. The a/c was so quiet that I almost didn't even hear it, and it worked like a charm. Rooms were very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful (thanks for the late checkout!). Pools looked clean and beautifully inviting, but we didn't have a chance to try them. 15 min walk downhill to incomparable Magen's bay. (GORGEOUS!!) but husband complained that it wasn't very safe without sidewalks and crazy cab drivers rounding the curves too fast. I'd probably cab it, even downhill, and we DID cab it uphill! But the absolute BEST part of our stay was "Simply Italian" the on site restaurant. OMG one of the best restaurants I have EVER eaten at!! (And I have eaten at some of the best restaurants in Chicago!) Cafe was adequate with yummy bagels for the morning! Overall, just an amazing stay. Thanks!!!
