Convenient location in a quiet, leafy part of town
I chose Relais 6 for its location. The hotel is in a leafy part of town, and has a nice terrace out back and a sunroom on the top floor. Piazza Venezia is an easy 15-minute ride on the 60 Express bus, and the park associated with Villa Torlonia is an easy walk. This hotel has the best staff of any hotel I have ever stayed in - everyone was helpful and professional.

Nice, clean hotel with a full breakfast buffet. Close to the train station.

Great smaller hotel in a quiet area
This hotel is located in a residential area, so the local area is not the liveliest. But it is close to the Metro and the bus lines and is quiet, which is incredible when you consider how busy Rome is. There are some good restaurants and bars in the area. The staff is wonderful. They made travel arrangements for us and even gave us a cold breakfast because we had an early flight home. The garden area is nice, and we stayed in a room that had a private terrace. I will definitely stay there again.

Great experience. A little removed from the city center, but there was a metro within walking distance.

Delightful
For us the Metro from the train station would be the best way of getting there. We initially took the bus and it was a real pain. Metro line 1 towards Jonio, exit Saint Agnese/Annibaliano. Exit the metro, escalators to the left. When you come up the escalators you are "headed towards" Via Tolmino. It's about three blocks, relatively level (cobblestones) but no curbs or traffic to deal with (as there is with the bus). Staff were delightful and very helpful. Elevator is small two of us and our backpacks filled it completely. Very quiet at night but nice neighborhood. Recommended restaurant for dinner nearby (four blocks) is Pepe Verde - If you arrive at 7 you will be the only ones there. If you arrive by 8:30 you may not get a table. The desk clerk will sell transportation tickets, required if you are traveling by bus (no way of buying tickets at the outer stops) but the Metro has ticket kiosks which are easy to use. Same tickets for Metro or bus. Desk clerk can also book tours with hotel pickup. We booked two, both times they had to send a cab to get us. For us it would have been prefered to take the Metro and walk a few blocks to the tour office rather than getting to the lobby early, then waiting around for a half hour, then having them send a cab. One minor complaint - the picture on their website is photoshoped. There is a actually very building where the moon is! Totally unnecessary for this "deception" because the surrounding area is residential and nice.
