Good
Ideal location 4 St Kilda
Loved the location just two blocks from Fitroy. Lots of restaurants within an easy walk. The beach is about a 12-minute walk. While the unit was bright, all the windows were opaque which I didn't care for. Discovered I like natural, clear light. No smoking is allowed in the units which is wonderful. We had a guy below us chain smoke while sitting outside swearing on his cellphone for hours a couple nights. The gal across from the laundry also sat outside smoking. I understand smokers need a place to smoke but wish it was somewhere I didn't need to walk through it or have it waif up. I also discovered I prefer an accommodation with staff on site.

Good value but not for business
I had booked this hotel much for the decent rate, free Wifi and being close to the beach. Despite being unattended, check-in was a breeze and communication prior to the stay excellent. Room was quite ok for the rate and bed comfortable. I had asked for a quiet room since I really needed the sleep, and this request was accommodated. I did notice that sound seemed to travel between the rooms very much. Having big warning signs about not making noise all over the yard and on every wall didn't exactly contribute to a pleasant atmosphere though. Also, the internet capacity was abysmal and limited, to the point where I had to leave and find public hotspots in Melbourne in order to keep up with business. Quite dodgy neighborhood, but never felt unsafe. Trams into Melbourne run very often and nearby, beach and parks within comfortable walking distance. Can recommend for leisure trips but not for business. Air conditioning unit was very quiet and effective.

Great place to stay
This is a great alternate to a hotel, well organsied and efficient self check-in, clean and tidy spacious room, all at a great price.

Great value for money.
The communication for check-in and during the stay was excellent. As we stayed during the Nelbourne Cup period it was excellent value. Walking distance to trams to the cbd. Walking distance to St Kilda restaurants and pier. Stayed in Unit 12 at the back.

Grey-zing again
Up to the usual excellent standard. Stayed in an apartment/unit out the back so dead quite. Barely 3 figures for the night so excellent value.
