Ok but will not likely book again
We wanted to stay in Kichijoji but could not find a place. We booked this hotel in a nearby area. The hotel is right next to the Asagaya station and in fact you can see the platform from our room. If you are bothered by train noise, do not book this place. We ended up liking the area but if we have a choice of place, we would not stay at this hotel again. Our room was tiny but clean, and hotel staff was nice.

Room was too cramped, and it didn’t meet my standards for cleanliness. For one night, I guess it will do.

Convenient and clean hotel
My stay was amazing. Exactly what was expected and even more. New tea, toothbrushes and tooth paste, shaver, and even slippers every time i returned for the night. Not to mention the great hospitality and room service. The room was a little small, but everything one could need. Great location, literally right under Asagaya station, and it is a nice area to walk around.

Small budget hotel with a lot of eateries nearby
The hotel is very near to JR train station, just about 5 mins' walk. The nearest subway station is some 15 minutes' walk away. Front desk staff are efficient. Checking in is very fast. The room is quite small (as expected by Japanese standard), but is clean. Bed is comfortable. The plus point is there are a lot of eateries neaby and they are open until late at night. So, no problem finding a place to eat late dinner after a day out in Tokyo. There's a dept store near the train station, the supermarket there is open 24 hours. So, this hotel (although rated 2.5 star) offers good value and an affordable option outside the Tokyo central areas. Going to airport is also quite convenient, just take the JR train and change at Shinjuku to Shinagawa, from there take the Keijkyu line to airport. Overall, a better than expected stay at this hotel.
