Very unique old historic hotel with large presidential suite, but the windows nor the door balcony opened. A bummer was that the hotel room had amazing views. but the curtains have literally no tie backs so you had to rig the curtains open or just miss out on the view. The biggest bummer is that they are super strict with the 4pm check in as no one is in the lobby until then at which time you can get buzzed in to get your room. The other downside is that literally everyone else is there at 4pm so the reception is very busy, distracted and there's a wait. She handled it like a champ, but giving people more time to check in would be super helpful and it would be ideal if they would just email you the parking pass as they had plenty of spots, but they are reserved until you have your placard. Minor drawbacks, but it is a very old hotel so my brother hated his bed as the mattress had been worn to the point that his wife and him kept rolling to the middle for a terrible night sleep. My bedroom was fine.

When booking the picture clearly showed a clawfoot tub, and when I got there,the room did not have it.I was moved to a different room that had one but also charged more for it. even though the picture initially said it had one already. not to mention ..No long distance calling ? Really how is that still a thing? I was trying to call Texas not Europe. I wanted an old world experience not actually to be in an old, way out of tech room. We Left early (so glad we did) They still changed us for both nights. only after calling and complaining was it fixed. Would not recommend!
