Negatives: the bed was uncomfortable, it seems that they have the bed sheets just rapped over the mattresses. The room was not clean for 5* hotel standard. Housekeeping Manager, I will give you a hint, please look at the bed side lamps, they were not cleaned probably from the day the hotel was opened. We stayed in two rooms during our stay, same situation in both rooms. I have the photos, don’t want to post them, since I don’t want to be too mean to the hotel, but I will email those to the management at their request. The most unpleasant experience was the swimming pool. 👎👎👎dislike dislike. Can’t believe that the facility attendant was sitting and eating right in front of the pool (not a snack, not a bite, just eating a meal with plate and fork in public area). He did not bother to greet me, I honestly thought he was a hotel guest. Once I noticed his polo with hotel logo, I asked for locker room and locker key, guess what?.., he was just contemplating me running back and forth with wrong keys he was giving me; neither of the keys he gave me opened the lockers...Seriously?? $600 per night for this service???? Positives: can’t praise the each and every employee at front desk, restaurant and bar area, extremely helpful and professional! Lux toiletry

Is being cool better than being comfortable?
The Mamilla Hotel shares a name and a location with the very upscale Mamilla Mall, and it shares a price point with Jerusalem's best hotels, so we were expecting something fabulous. We were disappointed. The public spaces and the room itself were impossibly dark. A long stay would certainly induce depression. Nothing in the hotel is intuitive...from the room numbers on the floor to light switches whose placement bears no relation to the lights they control, everything requires extra effort. And while the bathrooms are cool, having the bathroom the same size as the room makes for a room small enough to be in a New York City hotel. Personally, I'd trade the tub for a decent-sized room. That said, the service was fabulous and everything was clean and comfortable, so it's certainly a nice overall experience.
