Great location for an old-style motel
This facility is quite literally constructed as a motel, so it is accurately named. We had difficulty getting the room cleaned on the first day and had to beg towels late in the afternoon when we returned to get ready for dinner. The next day the room was serviced early and the front desk offered us a free breakfast at the small tacqueria next door which as we were leaving early the next day we declined. The front desk is cheerful and helpful, but the facility suffers from its design heritage. Entrances are to a series of 'pods' in which there appear to be 8 small rooms. No elevators, so you get to carry your bags upstairs. Parking is in a lot in front of the rooms (motel-style). The rooms do not have individual thermostats, and you must call the front desk and request they regulate the temperature of your room - inconvenient and not particularly functional. The closet was simply open shelving and a hangar space. The bathroom was tiny with a pedestal sink. For the price, I would have to say that I would not stay there again, but it is conveniently located.

Great value for free parking! We could have stayed at “nicer” places for slightly higher nightly rates, but would have had to pay outrageous fees for inconvenient self-parking. Awesome location - we easily walked to major sites including Navy Pier and Millennial Park. Room was well furnished, nicely decorated, and very clean. Bed was very comfortable after a long day of walking around the city! A small fridge and microwave were an unexpected plus! We felt very safe as room was accessed via two locked doors. Walls were a bit thin - we could hear the neighbors TV.

Almost perfect
My stay here was fantastic. Rooms were clean. Central to everything. Good area for safety. The staff was friendly. The ONLY real complaint was the noise from other people slamming the doors. When I brought it up to the staff, they apologized and did say they were working on padding the jams. Overall, worth the money.

average for a budget motel.
The air conditioning or heat was extremely loud, almost as if there was a storm outside at all times. Without a thermostat in the room, as well, it made keeping the room comfortable difficult.
