The location is great. But this was the smallest hotel room I had ever been in. El Chapo's prison cell is likely roomier. But I wasn't expecting the Ritz. The price was right and I was only in town for one night so it worked for me. There's a pub just over the road. Go there at 10PM and have a few drinks and you'll fall fast asleep and not care about the tiny room.

oyo elysee - London review
While the service was very much friendly and helpful, the condition of the internal property was lacking. There was a notice of noise due to construction posted, the bed/pillows were stiff, and there was obvious wear and age to the rooms. Perhaps the maintenance issues are taking place at this time to create a more hospitable environment for guests. Obviously this was not ideal at the time I stayed, however I would not advise others to avoid.

Good services
Helpful receptionists. They offered good prices for services. Would stay here again.

Should have booked somewhere else
Room and bathroom were filthy and comically small. Only window opened to an actively used construction scaffolding. Location was ok. 10 min walk to transport

Location good, facilities not
The location is perfect the facilities are not! The shower didn’t work well i had to invent something so it could work and i had to hit the light switch so they turn on! Super small, said view to Eiffel tower but i had to take my head all out the window to see the top of it. Staff was nice and let us leave our luggage there even after the stay for few hours.

Shabby, but not chic!
Pretty shabby. Breakfast was just so so... room rather grubby... and don't look at the carpet. Lots of weird stairs...

Very Good 8.0
The location couldn't be better, about 2 or 3 minutes from the Tube and Kensington Gardens, and about a 8-10 minute walk to Paddington Station. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good. The wi-fi was fast and reliable. The room was rather small and the carpet could use a good cleaning, but honestly, if you're traveling to do some sightseeing in London and don't plan to spend much time in the hotel, it's a great place. I would stay here again.

Poor 2.0
Beware
Says it has a lift. Yes, after carrying your luggage up 4 or 5 steps. Our room had a deep narrow alcove with a window (filthy roof level with our window). Essentially no window in the room. The bathroom sink was so tiny you had to bend over to use it and then you hit your head on the one little shelf in the room. The staff tried to be kind and switched my room so I had less stairs. But, now I could not use the shower, the tub side was very high. They didn’t care. I had to take clothing and an elevator to my son’s room to shower. The carpets everywhere were filthy. There was no help for restaurant advise, little of any help. I had paid for breakfast for my whole family of seven. Most of them were not eating it, so I asked if we could cancel breakfasts and get a refund. I was told that I had to contact hotels.com, that they wouldn’t not do it. I tried to make the contact but it didn’t happen. There should be a way to get out of a bad hotel even after having paid in advance. I have never written a real review before, but I felt compelled to do so with this place. The one plus is it’s location.
