Couples weekend
I like it because it reminded me of the old west. Built in 1879. Just the basic necessities in the room. They had a nice bar, very good dinner menu and for breakfast they have either a hot or cold breakfast. The hot breakfast changes everyday. Nice little town with a great bakery.

couple trip down Hwy 49
very average. nice live music, but restaurant under staffed, decided to go eat elsewhere, which turned out to be the wrong move, since everything near by was closed.

Lovely place. Staff is great and enthusiastic and the breakfast was excellent. The walls of the rooms are paper thin and it was a little weird. People in next door talking in normal voices sounded like they were in my ear.

Delightful Overnight After Winery Concert
Room well appointed with antiques, comfortable bathroom with basic modern amenities including a heated towel rack. Lots of exposed brickwork and wood accents, pretty embroidered quilt on the bed. Very quiet at night; excellent breakfast, nice outdoor balcony overlooking the 'downtown' shops (all 6-8 of them) while you sip complimentary coffee available in upstairs hallway. Good service. Very relaxing!

Imperial Hotel - Good alternative in Gold Country
Old historic hotel that has been updated but retains old charm. Excellent staff, friendly and attentive. Great breakfast included served in dining room. Good value and will return.
