Patong Resort, Patong

The location, amenities and price were all prefect but when I check in I requested it to be earlier by an hour or two however, due to the rooms being fully booked I was upgraded to a different wing. As this is not my first time being to patong resort I did not want the other wing as it was uncomfortable. No air con in the lobby and had to climb stairs to head to the room. Hence, I informed the staff in this matter and no doubt the replace the room for me but they ask me to vacate the room immediately. It seem to be an hassle perhaps once the room was ready they could have ask us to head to the new room. Other then this there is no other issue of the hotel I can possibly rate it 10/10 but this incident could have been manage properly!

Aircon thermostat in the room didn't work. On the day we were to check out to catch our flights we got a message to say we had broken the glass top on a wooden table inside one of our rooms. The manager attended our room, out on the varandah area for our rooms was an outdoor setting, with a wooden table that had a cracked piece of glass on top. After inspecting all the other outdoor ares of the adjoining rooms everyone else only had 1 table but magically we had an extra one that was broken so we had to pay for it. After speaking with Tourist Police we were told we had to pay for it as we hired the room, even tho we didn't even use that outdoor area and magically a broken table appeared we were responsible under their law. We negotiated the price down to 1000THB which is not alot $40 AUS but this caused undue stress on my family which caused us to cancel our plans for our last couple hrs at the resort and risked us missing our flights. Another gentlemen was being slugged 500THB at the counter when I was checking out for a dirty sheet, Another different patron informed us on a prior stay he got done for sheets and a missing glass also... Scammers NOT RECOMMENDED...

During check-in, we were asked to placed an deposit, after we charged to the credit card, we were informed that the reverse will only be done after one month which is absurd. At all other property (except Phuket, cod this is our first time visiting) would reserve the charges on the day we check-out. To top it up, they told us they can’t cancel the transaction, good thing we didn’t sign on the charge slip. Told them off and call our bank immediately, that’s when they reverse the charge. Aside from that, they do not issue proper receipt for deposit collected. Just simply a post-it note. Shocked. However, we did manage to get our deposit back based on that. Other than the above, this place is ok. Centralized between two night markets. Bangla Road and Hard Rock Cafe. Oh and the jacuzzi doesn’t work.

Great location. Close to everything. Rather old rooms but well maintained. Breakfast was nice and staff were warm and welcoming. Very nice pools and bars. Plenty of shade and nice place to relax with a drink and food. Only downside was TV. Poor choice of English channels. Need more movies and news channels. Overall though, 3 star property due to age, 4 star as maintained well, with great location and service. Good place to stay

This hotel located in one of the best point, close to the Patong beach with so many restaurants and bar, super market and massage that open too late. facility very good with many room type. Staff friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast very good. Rooms lighting as photo in attach complete. I think here is very good choice for stay.
