Accommodations at the Blufin Bungalows were excellent. Staying on a houseboat was such a fun experience. Nothing beats being lulled to sleep by a rocking boat. The screened-in porch was a lovely place to enjoy our morning coffee and breakfast. The check-in was seemless. I would definitely stay there again.

Clean and fun to have a "floating" home. Easy check-in and parking. Kitchen well equipped and A.C was excellent. Screened in porch with high quality patio furniture - nice! Wish the view were the water and not the other bungalows - but we knew that going in. Large "step-up" from the dock to the unit so not for anyone with physical mobility limitations. Otherwise clean, good price and unique experience.

We have never stayed in a cottage on the water before but we’d thought we’d try it. It wasn’t too bad you could feel some movement but nothing to get sick over. The rooms were very nicely decorated and comfortable. Pros: clean rooms, close to parking, pool etc., affordable, nice pool, close to the inlets and partial sunset view from deck (we were in the middle). Cons: well off the beaten path, had to drive everywhere, no maid service, few towels(but we never asked for more), huge step to get from pier to porch of cottage. All in all, it was an enjoyable stay and we would stay here again!

Blufin is a great place to stay on Chincoteague Island. My family of 4 never felt cramped inside the boathouse bungalows. The location is great, the furthest we had to drive to anything was 20 minutes(assateague beach), everything else was within 10min. The only thing which is no fault of theirs, is if you have a small child then maybe don’t rent the boathouse, spring for the one on land. I have a 2yo and was always a bit worried when coming and going on the docks (again, not their fault or problem). Overall the stay was fantastic and we will be back next summer

Check in was a breeze. Our room was ready and door code activated at exactly the check in time. The bungalow was cool, clean and perfect size. The only concern I had with the room was a crack in the shower pan, but it appeared to be old, and I imagine it would be replaced in the off season. It did not affect the function of the very large shower. The beds were comfortable, the AC worked well. Any time we had an issue, help was there quickly (lost power, tripped a breaker, needing TP or towels etc.) Everyone on site was friendly. My only suggestion for improvement is to have a laundry machine available at the marina house - there is no laundromat on the island, and our trip was 8 days - we were running on fumes and dirty clothes by the last day. Would be convenient to have a coin laundry in one of the office spaces at the Marina to run a quick load. We cannot wait to return!
