Nice place
Nice place. Occasional low train noise but didn't worry me (and I'm a light sleeper). Excellent cooked breakfast in small breakfast room.

Not happy we were put in the same hallway with a large group who all knew each other. It’s not their fault the walls are paper thin, it’s the hotels fault. They came up after midnight in small groups and for the next 45 minutes we got to listen to them talking in the hallways and opening and closing doors. I was wide awake by the time everyone was finally in their rooms and then I could hear the tv in the room next door. Early the next morning we were awakened again as they herded out in the same noisy fashion. Then, the housekeeper comes knocking on our door at 10:30 am —why not just wait until 11am which is checkout time so that we don’t have to be bothered?! Or, at least confirm with the front desk first that we’ve checked out? The lack of sleep ruined my entire next day. I regret staying there and won’t do it again. Lastly, a minor suggestion: provide a laundry bag in case the guests have dirty clothes. Most nice hotels have them.

Not a happy camper
Usually the service is much better. My stay was 4 nights. I did not receive room service the entire stay. I did get towels from a housekeeper in the hall. I travel with my toiletries so that wasn’t a problem. As mentioned the service is normally much better. I book this hotel several times yearly because of the proximity to downtown and free parking. I was totally disappointed this time around though.

Hotel was ok. There was a funky smell in my room and the hallways. There were no towels in the room when I checked in not a huge deal. The best things about the hotel are Joe and Yolanda!! They absolutely go above and beyond to make sure the hotel guests are taken care of. They are so very good at their job! They get customer service!! The little Cafe’ is good as well and clearly that staff understands customer service. I would say the rest of the staff I encountered well not necessarily friendly.

Close to freeway
Close to freeway and Michigan Ave. Only problem is parking was tight. Spaces are super small and the lot fills up fast.
