Ok for price
A little cramped once sofa bed in use. Amenities good. Gym was hot and stunk. Some equipment didn't work in gym. Breakfast didn't have any gluten and lactose free options other than an apple. Sheets had stains on all of them.

disappointed
lots of stains on the couch and carpet area. Spots on the wall in various areas and ther room really needed to be painted. The rstroom door handle was about to fall apart. it was a cheap hotel. I used it simply to keep my stuff while I stayed in the hospital seeing family.

The Good and Bad
The Super 8 hotel was very nice and conveniently close to Stephen F. Austin University. The only drawback is my mother in law left her jewelry bag and remembered half way back to Dallas. When we called the hotel staff to hold the bag they said nothing had been turned in. We waited a couple more days as instructed by the supervisor Alma and the jewelry bag still has not come up. I finally had to call the complaint department to hopefully get some type of investigation going to locate my Mother in laws valuables and I pray the integrity of the staff and cleaning staff are just as good as the hotel. Any valuables left behind should be turned in for vault keep until right owners come back for claim. Humans forget but should never be taken advance of for simple mistakes. Fingers crossed!!!

Surprisingly nice
It was surprisingly very nice. My only complaints are the Internet/wifi access was impossible making it impossible for me to do anything and the breakfast was horrible.

Pro: Inexpensive, Con: Unclean
The front desk employee was unfavorable…she first ignored me while talking to her associates and did not greet/welcome me. I received a smoking room when I requested a nonsmoking room. I requested that I be moved to a different room only to given a room that was unclean with defective items. . At first glance the room and bathroom look clean but after settling in we saw scraped paint on the walls and the bathroom door was filthy with dirt and make-up and had a burned out blow drier. I stayed in the hotel for 5 days…not one time was our bedding or sheets replaced with clean sheets. The breakfast was basic and bland… microwavable precooked egg patties, sausage patties and white sausage gravy. They also had a commercial waffle mater which was the only highlight for breakfast. For cereal they offered frosted flakes and raisin brand. Beverages offered were milk, coffee, tea, orange juice which really was Sunny Delight…and apple juice. The other guests were very loud and stayed up late talking in the hallways making it difficult to sleep. I was very disappointed because we have stayed here before two years ago and the employees previously were very friendly greeting every person coming and going...plus the rooms were spotless. As a result of my experience, I will not be returning to the hotel.
