We won't be booking a return visit
After booking the tulip hotel for £30 for the night we weren't expecting anything great just somewhere to park my car and sleep for the night. We choose the hotel due to free parking however arrived and a car had parked over 2 spaces. There is in fact only 5 spaces for the whole hotel which is not listed on the website. We were told that we would be reimbursed for our parking by the owner however this was not the case. When we got to our room we had been given three single beds rather than a double room and the owners justification was that a double room actually means a three single beds. After some choice words we were given a double room. The walls were stained the furniture needs updating. The whole hotel has a rather bizzare smell I'm not sure if it was the carpets which need replacing. On a positive the hotel is within about 5 minutes of Blackpool centre. If your paying more than £30 a night for this hotel you'll be bitterly disappointed we will not be returning to this hotel

Over night stay at the Tulip
OK so no its not the most modern or well decorated/maintained place. But the bed was comfy enough, shower was clean and suited us for an over night stay just fine. We were on a budget and staying just the one night in Blackpool and knew what we'd be getting. The couple running the place were just lovely. Friendly welcome and attentive. They let us check in hours early and leave check out late. They gave our boys ice creams let us eat breakfast past the time given. They were brill. Put it this way, if we go back to Bpool, which we hope to do again soon we would Deffo stop there again 4/5

Better staying elsewhere
OK, so, there is insufficient parking. 5 bays on the front... All taken ~(there is a car park opposite charging 7 quid a day - so if you arrive early or VERY late, your ok) The shower was full of mould. The lamps had no bulbs. The chest of drawers were broken. The hot water took 15 mins of running to come through to the shower Toilet was basically under the sink - very cramped - and didn't flush properly... Breakfast was: Basic's yoghurt, basics cereal, basics bread, with think basics hotdog sausages cut in half. - not worth mentioning. There was inadequate, CRAMPED seating in the dining room, and insufficient watered down milk etc... Don't let the inclusive breakfast sway you from the cheaper rooms without breakfast. On the plus sides: The hotel location was near (but not the closest) to the beach - comfortable short walk (less than a mile), although parking at the hotel is a no go - there is a car park opposite. The council have been idiots and double yellowed all down this wide road (not the fault of the hotel though). The beds themselves were reasonably comfortable. Although cant say anything about the rest of the room. and the poor attempt of making the bed, leaving the pillow section as a bare mattress.

Comfortable and quiet hotel
The customer service was second to none at this hotel. The twin room was comfortable and quiet with lovely thick, white towels. Continental breakfast included everything from toast and croissants to fruit, yoghurt and cereals. We were given a complimentary pot of tea on arrival and again after checking out when we went back for our car. Doesn't look brillant from outside, but the service more than made up for it.

Lovely owners - pleasant stay.
Hotel owners were lovely - let us check in early and made a big fuss of our little boy. Hotel is run down in places but the owners are working on it. Room was small but adequate. Breakfast was enough - again pleasant service. For the price we paid we were really happy with our stay. Location is good as only a short walk from beach, amusements and town centre.
