Disappoints
Owner is very nice. The other woman, not so much. Very crabby and unhelpful. No A/C, which was tough on a hot summer evening. No cross breeze and fan inadequate. Wifi was out all night. And finally, there were bedbugs. Yuck.

deceptive listing
The location is great, but they say they have free breakfast when they don't, they have no common room, no kitchen to use nothing! The photos show room with tv's but they do not have tv's in the rooms. two bathrooms but one you can't use the shower because they took the shower head. No hot water either! internet did not work and there is no one on staff from 9pm to 7 am. Supposed to be non smoking but staff sits there at the desk blowing smoke in your face. do NOT recommend.

Clean and good location
When we got in we got charge $3.50/person/night for turist tax when the website said $3.00. The next morning we tried to get a shower and we didn't have towels so we asked the lady that was in the reception who only speaks Italian for towels and she had to go into the room to look everywhere because she didn't belive us that we didn't get towels. The owner was great. Location excellent. then She didn't have tickets for breakfast and she told us that we would not have breakfast until I got mad because the reservation said breakfasts was included and she wrote a ticket by hand. We stayed 2 nights and we had to stay a third night but reception was close so I booked online at 5 pm for the next night and the next morning the lady told us we have to move out because we could not book online extra nights. She said she wasn't able to look on her computer and she didn't want to call the owner (at 9 am) to check if we really had the booking and of course she didn't want to give us the ticket for breakfast AGAIN. We had to wait an hour (10 am) and she finally called the owner who told her that we did pay and book online in that second she gave us the breakfast ticket and she start to be nice. She charged only $3.00 for the turist tax so I told her about the first guy who charged me $3.50 and the refunded me the difference. That last night we met the owner and he was something else.... Very nice... He apologized for the lady.... Nice guy. Overall place was clean and quiet.

Be aware of what you're getting into
First I would like to clarify a big discrepancy. This location is not a *hotel* but rather a *hostel.* It is located on the top floor of what appeared to be an abandoned or derelict building in a back ally in Rome. Not exactly what it reads in the description or photographs. When we finally got to the room again there was major disappointment. A cell-like space with one bed, a desk, and a broken space heater. Our window had been left open for god only knows how long, but we soon realized it was because the window too was broken and wouldn't shut properly. Trying to make the best of a less than desirable situation I attempted to take a shower in a shared bathroom down the hall. Again, disgust and disappointment. The bathroom was filthy, the water took over five minutes to become warm, and the door was completely broken in two down the middle, getting the entire small, shabby place wet. Call me a primadona if you will but I wasn't staying there any longer than necessary. Due to the *sale price* on the room I could get no refund, but still decided to forfeit the room for the rest of my stay in Rome and find somewhere much nicer and more honest in their description. If you do choose to stay here, I mean the price is right I'll admit, don't say you weren't warned.
