Convenient location, good value, minimal amenities
Got in late to the hotel as I had pre booked a dinner canal cruise with the Stromma tourism company. It ended at 9:30pm, so I went to pick up my luggage from the self luggage lockers at Centraal Station Amsterdam then grabbed a tram ticket from a blue kiosk (the yellow ones sell train tickets only) blue ones sold tram. Outside there were kiosks that sold all three, train, tram, bus. Anyhow, I got a one way tram ticket to Museumsplein and was so glad I did as it was freezing cold wind late in the evening. During the dinner cruise I also saw where Hotel Blossoms was by the huge HEINEKEN sign. As I previously paid to get an all Europe SIM card, I used my smartphone navigation on Google maps to walk to the hotel. The blonde guy with the glasses was alright, not super nice or friendly, just curt. He asked for my name and gave me the room key after I signed an agreement of usage of the room. I asked fir a copy as I glanced over the document and grabbed a copy for myself. The room was a single efficiency, but was clean aside from a tiny hair here and there in the shower. I sprayed the shower down before usage. I did enjoy the locations convenience. There id a dutch pancake place across the street callrd Carrousel. Definitely go grab some poffertjes! They're delicious! Also, if you wish to "treat yo self" Bakers and Roasters are a must try if you can get up early to beat the wait. Make the most of museum visits as everything is so accessible from here.

The location was amazing, and the room was enough space for our one night stay. There was a third bed in the room that could have been rented out at any time, so if you do not want to have a third person staying with you, make sure not to get a three bedroom room. Overall, would definitely recommend.

Great Value & Location
The hotel is nothing fancy but it’s clean, safe, friendly and in a great location. For Amsterdam where accommodation can be very expensive, it’s also very reasonably priced. Within 10 mins walk there are loads of things to see & do - Heineken Experience, Albert Cuypmarkt, Rijksmuseum, I Amsterdam sign, Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum, Vondelpark, Paradiso, Leidseplein and more. Also loads of great cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. It's also very easy to get to - there are frequent trams running from right beside the hotel to Central Station. I really enjoyed my stay here - highly recommended.

Very Disappointing
Despite the Hotel price Blossoms felt more like a hostel. Room was very small, just about enough room to walk round the beds. The 2 single beds were tiny, I have never seen a single bed so narrow. Duvets were paper thin. There was no wardrobe,no hangers and not even a single hook for your jacket. There were some small shelves in the wall which were completely inadequate. Bathroom had no towel rail or hooks either. Having nowhere to put suitcases ( not even under the bed) made the small room even smaller. Windows were filthy and on the second day the curtain and rail collapsed when I opened the curtain. We were on 3rd floor accessed by a tiny elevator that 2 people could barely squeeze into, and in the mornings the lift was full of laundry, cleaning materials and a hoover. The shower/ bathroom was clean which apart from the location was the only positive. My feeling was we were massively overcharged for this place and to be honest we wouldn't use it again even if the prices were drastically reduced.
