The staff was exceptional. However, they run 2 hotels that are far apart and getting service was time consuming. Our phone didn't work in our room so contacting them meant going to the lobby and using the phone there. Parking was far from our hotel. Breakfast was a 9 minute walk. Choices for breakfast included a variety of cold items that were freshly prepared. Our room was spacious but our bathroom was very cramped. One day we didn't get maid service because the hotel was closed. We had a patio but never used it. The location was in the heart of Montepulciano and walking to shops and going for dinner was very convenient. The air conditioning worked just okay in the 95 degree weather. Our son stayed in another room at this location and he had a very spacious room and bathroom. His room overlooked the main street but leaving the window open during the night wasn't an option because of the noise at night and the delivery trucks in the morning.

Interesting Etruscan city-check out the caves.
Roomy suite with couch, dining table, stove top, microwave and refrigerator.. Also small balcony with table and chairs. Excellent shower and bathroom. Dead quiet for sleeping. Near all important sights. Near many restaurants and a few grocery stores. Charming streets and bu ildings-great atmosphere.

Great location in the heart of Montepulciano
The location of the hotel was perfect - right in the middle of Montepulciano. Parking was a short walk from the hotel. We had a private terrace, but no view. Room was basic but nice, however, we had no hot water in the shower. That was disappointing in the morning. Staff was very helpful - even rode with us to the parking lot and helped carry our bags to the room.

A well-located, delightful apartment that very comfortably accommodated my family of four during a two day stay.

Great location, bit difficult to find.
We were only here for one night, so it was fine for that length of stay. There is no AC, so take note of that. They do have a fan mounted on the wall that is programmable. It is somewhat difficult to locate. If you're driving, DON'T trust googlemaps. It is above a restaurant, so when you map it, it takes you to the restaurant below, not the entrance up the set of stairs on the street above the restaurant. But, that's ok as the restaurant and hotel are co-owned. Just let the restaurant staff know you are checking in. The staff was excellent!! We couldn't figure out how to drive into town and park the car as it's very windy, on many hills, with one-way streets. One of the servers walked down to the parking lot just below the city with me and drove with me to the parking area on the street. He was great! As for the room, the bed, as is usual in Italy was pretty hard, but I prefer that. I don't like soft beds...hurts my back. ;-) The shower was extremely small which was the main drawback. You can barely move in it. But that is also somewhat typical of European showers in some of the smaller hotels. Overall, a good stay as the hotel is right in town. Make sure to check out the Copper shop in town which is owned by Cesare, a 5th Generation copper maker! Also, Maledetti Toscana, all hand made leather goods. And Contucci wine cellar/tasting.
