Genuine VFM, Considering Location
I believe guests of the Belgrove Hotel are either going to like/dislike their stay for similar reasons. I have just returned from having booked two nights stay and I will definitely return. On this occasion I was without my wife but will not hesitate to take her to this Hotel on future visits. Literally just outside Kings Cross Station and St. Pancras, I payed £60 per nite stay with Bfast included, bare in mind I base these comments only on the room I slept in and the comments from other guests at B/fast. For starters, all the rooms were occupied the friend I was there to meet could not get booked in for the same period. The B/fast is self serve from an appropriate counter, however while I never witnessed it, it was mentioned by frequent guests that SOME where taking advantage of this facility so rightly so I did witness that self serve is supervised. My choice of B/fast for two days was two sausage, two bacon, scrambled egg, toast, beans and tinned tom's with many other hot and cold options available. The not so large dinning area has difficulty dealing with it's popularity which is exaggerated by guests choosing not to sit at the same table as other guests. I will conclude by saying that the Belgrove Hotel delivers a level of service equated to its cost, It ticked all the boxes on this occasion and no doubt will continue to do so for many people, if budget is in your vocabulary then this Hotel could be worth a stay.

Poor
The size of the room for a single person was 2.5 yards X 3 yards. That’s the size of a bathroom. There was barely room for my luggage. Most of the customers kept their luggage’s outside their rooms, on a hallway. The width of the sleeping bed was only 60 cm, that’s like two feet wide?! Also the agreed upon price through the on line, was increased from $61 per night to $75, without any chance to argue or to change the hotel!

Staff are rude & impolite! Not recommend to book!
This hotel only have 1 adventure is the location. Staffs are rude & impolite! When arrived, I shown the print out confirmation. But the receptionist replied immediately there’s no my booking but without checking anything! Tangled 5 mins she can found out my booking finally & asked me to pay. I told her paid by credit card already & shown her the information. She repeated I need to pay again. I questioned is for guaranteed or not? She said yes & confirmed is for guaranteed only. But when check out, they said that is payment is not guaranteed. They charged me again! I want to ask more further, but a rude old man said they are very busy & stop the conversation! Room is clean but that is basic require. Buffet Breakfast have oily fried eggs, water scrambled eggs, beans, mashed tomatoes, bacon & sausage. The conclusion of this hotel only have 1 advantage : Location. I do not recommend anyone to book it!

Good
Close to eurostar is its only redeeming feature
Perfect for access to the eurostar train. If not what one has as major priority, i would not stay there. The man at reception was outstanding. He should be working at a much higher class hotel. The room is very small. Window does not open , so very hot. Cooling is a 30cm fan! Basin plug stuck in place and the mechanism missing. Shower drains toward toilet so after a shower, there is 15mm water under foot that won't drain away. There is excellent short term parking in the street opposite the hotel to unload bags. Breakfast is included, but starts only at 0700, and we had an 0640 train. No refrigerator in room so no alternative to breakfast in the dining room offered, and no discount if breakfast not taken. It suited our desire to be close to St Pancras international.

Not worth the time or money
Hotel is conveniently located right next to Kings Cross Station. That’s probably the only plus about this hotel. I arrived to a receptionist who carried on ordering her takeaway pizza on the phone while trying to check me in and then swearing because I paid via American Express. Room was small (as expected in London) but extremely run down. I was greeted by dirty towels and bedsheets on the floor in a heap and a toilet that hadn’t been flushed. A bit of pest control wouldn’t go amiss as the hotel and room was swarming with flies.
