Would rate higher but they did not leave more soap for the second day and the soap is very small.

Good Value
This hotel was perfectly satisfactory given the price. The location was close to the main drag, but far enough away to be very quiet. I would stay there again if in the area.

Over all a B+
A good place to sleep. The room was fine, but and no air conditioning that I could find controls for.

Great hotel in TJ
We went to TJ for a medical trip, hotel was very conveniently located to everything. Clean, spacious, quiet at night, except walls paper thin, you can hear the neighbors phone conversations early in the am waking you up. The beds were soft but very hard not comfy at all. Hotel was in great spot, we walked everywhere from 3-4 miles daily, weather was 65-69 degrees so even when the sun was out, the breeze was cool and refreshing. Everyone was extremely friendly, we didn't see people begging or trying to jip, steal or sucker anyone. We shopped on Revolucion - main tourist spot but found the Artisan Market 3 blocks over had better bargains, and was great for home décor & souvenirs, plus way better prices - bargains compared to what the street vendors on Revolucion street were charging. The Artisan Market has the handmade items from central Mexico and deep south. Real Mexican souvenirs, but shop around first since all the vendors have lots of same merchandise but others more expensive. The food everywhere away from the strip was cheap, and delicious. Coffee excellent everywhere. Definitely felt safe walking around until 1 am, since so many others were still out and about. There were lots of police presence but they don't bother you at all. We even took a trip down to the red district, stopped in at Hong Kong, for an hour then left, walked back to main strip late at night and felt safe. No one bothered us or tried to sell us illegal stuff.

Nice gem in this neighborhood!
The room was a lot better than expected. A lot of budget hotels in TJ is pretty run down, out dated or just bad. This was a nice little gem. Big room, big bathroom, lots of storage space. The air conditioning remote was bolted down w/ dead batteries. But we didn't need it on this weekend so it wasn't a big deal. It was nice having a security guard at night. But they were way too aggressive with the assumptions that we were trying to sneak someone in. I was trying to sleep through all the yelling and screaming at the door at 4am. Happy to see security doing their job but I wished it was much better handled. Very quiet neighborhood not much to do. But it was walking distance to Rev. Av. But short taxi to pretty much most sites from here. Oh the bed mattress were pretty much all new and very comfortable. Firm with soft linen. Cool sheets. Slept very well.
