Tiny but nice.
The room was clean and in good shape..very modern...but it was too tiny for 2 people. We only spent one night there before leaving for home so worked for us as it is close to the train and makes getting to Tokyo-Heaneda airport easy. The bathroom has only clear glass on 2 walls - you can lower the shades for privacy. Overall- tiny but nice. Best for one person.

Good functional choice near Shimbashi station
Hotel Sunroute Shimbashi is a very serviceable choice near Shimbashi station. It's a good value as well, as many other nearby hotels are considerably more expensive. The rooms (I have stayed twice and had essentially the same room both times) are small, but have what you need. If you have very large luggage it may be hard to find the right place to open it and sort through your things. Beds were comfortable (sometimes beds in Japan can be very hard) and a god size for a good sized guy. Not a king bed or anything close, but not a little single either. Sheets and comforter were very nice. Shimbashi is a "business" neighborhood, so it has a great selection of bars and small restaurants. And being close to Shimbashi Station means it's easy to get anywhere in the city on the metro or JR line trains. It's also a good jumping off point for trips to other cities. I recommend Hotel Sunroute Shimbashi to anyone who does not feel the need for a large western style room and just wants a clean place to stay that meets your basic needs. Staff is very nice too, english is not a problem.

Excellent location for all of the delights of Shinbashi! The room was quite small - but adequate.

Just what we needed :-)
We stayed on the 10th floor in an 'economy double'. The room was small compared to European/US room sizes but I think small rooms on the 'economy' rate are to be expected. Room was well maintained and clean but lacked a kettle. We found Shimbashi station to be a short walk away and well positioned to get around Tokyo and direct to Narita Int Airport. Great local restaurants should fulfil most gastronomic requirements. Would stay again.

Easy reaching and surrounding with dining choices. Helpful staff. Only down side is room size but fairly acceptable. :-)
