Breakfast a little dis-organised and no other meals available so had to go to the café / supermarket up the road or a restaurant for evening meal. I felt that the main staircase required a hand rail and the spiral staircase up to the roof terrace rather wobbly and veranda rail where dining area is required attention also.

I stayed for one night and the other 2 nights where cancelled and a refund was processed by the hotel to expedia credit card. It’s been over 2 weeks now and Expedia still has not refunded me, i dont understand why Expedia still holding my refund on their account. The refund is R1020. Booking ID is 49777478. Please act on this as soon as possible i need that refund.

Great location to see all the things cape town offers,and Mya and her mother are great hosts.The staff were very welcoming and friendly and Jessie the dog just put the icing on the cake .Would definitely book again if we went back to South Africa

Family run B&B under Table Mountain
Stayed at the Southern Comfort Guest Lodge for 4 nights. Our room was comfortable and clean, and from the second night we were upgraded to a slightly larger room with a desk and kitchenette - that was even nicer. The place is small - I think with 5 rooms, but we only met two other couples. It's run by Maya - who was lovely and helpful. With her in the house is her mother and daughter - both very friendly and accomodating. No view from the rooms but a fabulous roof-top right under table mountain. The location is excellent - an easy 20- 30 minute walk downhill into town or 5-10 minute Uber trip.

Home away from home
Arriving to the Southern Comfort Inn was easy and comfort... The pictures are a true description of the home but there is so much more. Both Maya and Denise are so easygoing and a wealth of knowledge about the city and history. I'd encourage connecting with them early, letting them know a little about your trip and any special needs or arrangements. They went out their way tohave the staff prepare an authentic African Dinner BBQ for us on our last evening. We were able to share stores of our backgrounds, culture and shared histories. The home is amazing and easy to navigate to Central areas via Uber or taxi. We recommend this home without hesitation...perfect for couples, friends or singles.

A Gem to remember
Our stay was above expectations. I am in the travel business and this one is a gem. Our hostess went out of her way to make it as comfortable as possible. Room and bathroom were very spacious, nicely decorated and above all very clean. Sheets, duvet, towels, toiletries were all provided and of a high standard. Will definitely stay here again.
