Disappointing
Nice area of Berlin but a bit away from the activities. Strolling the beautiful neighborhood was nice in the evening with lots of nearby cafes in a classic treed area. Hotel itself was disappointing. Although neat in a traditional style of decorating the building has a stale smell to it. We could not get the temperature cool enough or any fresh air at night so had terrible sleeps. The pillows were weird and could not get them to "fit" our sleep. Comment on the staff, for example when we showed up, the only ones in the lobby, the guy behind the desk didn't look up for almost a minute, ignoring us while he completed his paperwork. The staff were functional I guess but did little to make us feel welcome.

A perfect place to stay!
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Everything - the staff, the room, the breakfast, the service, the location - was excellent. My wife and I spent three weeks traveling in Germany and Prague and this was by far the best place we stayed. We spent five nights here. The room was luxurious, with drapes to shut off the bed chamber, night lights for reaching, and a comfortable bed. There were endless choices at breakfast - meats, cheeses, breads, cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea, and juices. Breakfast could be enjoyed inside or on the garden patio. And the breakfast staff made us feel like family. In addition, the front desk staff was always quick to help us with restaurant recommendations or calls to museums about hours and locations. The hotel is a 3-5 minute walk to the tram stop and about the same to a large selection of restaurants and shops. When we return to Berlin, we will definitely stay here again.

What I did like is the individuality of the hotel, that it was not a chain. It had its own old world charm and uniqueness. The breakfast buffet was incredible, being able to sample new and traditional items. The room was decorated in a by-gone era, but fully modernized with the lights, plug-ins, bathroom shower, etc. Room was a nice size with a full size desk. The location was perfect for walking to shops and restaurants and to the tram system. We used the public transport system extensively during our stay, purchasing day passes at the hotel, and found it very easy to navigate and reaching to all parts of the city we wished to see. Would highly recommend Myer's!

What an absolute gem. Room was amazing and breakfast was absolutely brilliant. We sat outside in the garden area every morning and relaxed with a great selection of food and drinks. Great location and transport to and from the city was so easy with day tickets from reception and then validate on tram, bus, trains whichever you like. There are some great restaurants within a short walking distance from the hotel which were great. Bavarian Tapas in particular. Excellent service and food. The staff were superb and even when our whirlpool bath wasn't working it was sorted out before we returned and the house technician left us a little bar of chocolate with a lovely note. We were blown away by everything. We will definitely be returning to Berlin and the Myer's Hotel.

Nice hotel with lovely breakfast buffet. It is two blocks to the entrance of the old city, with large plazas and lots of outdoor cafes with umbrellas. It is also close to tram stops when venturing further out. We took the tram to the Divine Mercy Sanctuary, and that was the name of the tram stop...very easy. it is a 15-20 minute walk to the train station, which is beautiful and built with a three story mall over it. Everything here from gricery stores to clothing, cafes and fast food.our room had a balcony which us allowed to see the street, but street noise was not loud.
