Honeymoon getaway!
We stayed here two nights. we traveled first class on the Smokey Mountain Railroad. The area is excellent for our honeymoon get away! There is little that can be done by the motel, but it would be helpful of the town not to roll up the sidewalks in town at 4:30... It was early season, but much can be said about the early spring flowers and spring green leaves!

Great value
Everything was perfect, except for noise. The walls are thin, and the doors slam loudly. Other than that, it was great. I will stay there again.

Angry traveler
The shower didn't work in the room which was reported when we checked out, they didn't offer a reduction in the $110 price if the room! I guess since I looked through hotels.com they aren't liable to use working rooms since they didn't seem to care that no one in our party was able to shower with a long slday of travel ahead of us!!! I asked for a receipt for the room and they couldn't even give me that! This issue needs to be addressed and I will for sure never use another travel site again! This is the second review for this room!

Great Value - Great Stay
We were very pleased with our stay here. The personnel were all friendly and helpful and our room was clean and well-maintained. The whole place was very quiet. The breakfast was pretty basic, but still adequate. Good coffee and waffles. I made the reservations for our group, and at this price, I was apprehensive. We were all very pleased.

Very unfriendly staff
First off, I booked a Suite and said I had a small dog. No problem. Paid up front for the suite. When I got to the hotel and checked in I had the most unfriendliest person I ever met. No HI how are you. No welcome to Microtel. Nothing. Out of all the staff at the hotel there was only one person who asked how we were doing. But, at check-in I was given a room and when we went to the room I said :this is not a suite:. And went back to the counter. Same sour girl there. When I told her that I booked and paid for a suite and got a standard she informed that no dogs are allowed in the suites. She knew I had a dog because she told me I had to pay when I checked in. I told her I had paid for a suite and she gave me a standard room. She told me that there was nothing she could do and I would have to take it up with HOTELS.COM.I did take it up with Hotels .com and they said they would reimburse me the difference. The room did look quite clean until I moved the bed and saw that it had not been cleaned in "forever" maybe. But I think the worse thing was the unfriendly staff there. I read the reviews before and I now think that all the people that said the staff was very friendly must have been talking about some other hotel. But HOTELS.COM was very respectful and friendly when I called them with the check-in issue. I will not stay at this hotel again.
