Lovely pub, comfortable stay
Staff and welcome was very good. Great breakfast, the guy looking after us at breakfast was just lovely, and very attentive. Bedroom just a bit tired. Hallway & bedrooms def in need of some TLC, bit of a shame really as this did let the place down a bit. Bedding also not great, BUT bed very comfy, had a great nights sleep...! The pub downstairs was just lovely though, really well decorated, obviously very old with many beautiful features. It felt very homely and inviting, I just wish we'd have had the time to experience the dinner menu as it all looked wonderful and other reviews said it was great. Overal good stay but wouldn't necessarily stay there again for price paid but would love to enjoy a nice glass (or two!) of wine in the cozy pub when next in the area. Again, the staff were very nice and def made our short stay there more enjoyable :)

Nice pub near Stratford on Avon UK
Can not fault this small B& B styled pub with rooms - excellent value for money. Staff very helpful. Clean and large room. Breakfast was huge and very good.

Great Family Room!
We had to drive about 10-15 minutes from downtown Stratford to the Blue Boar, but were very pleasantly surprised when the family room turned out to be a 2-bedroom suite. The door opened onto a shared bathroom with doors opening out in either direction to one bedroom with a double bed and one with twin beds. Our teenagers were thrilled and so were we! Great Wifi and a wonderful breakfast made this one of our best nights in our 33 day trip.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL - AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!!!!
This has to have been the worst hotel stay of our lives and we have stayed in a great many throughout the world! I don't even know where to begin! The place is absolutely filthy, there is absolutely no way the carpets in the rooms have been hoovered for months, there were piles or dust everywhere and cobwebs, plaster cracking in the bathrooms and immense mould around the showers and skirting. A smell of toilet in the room all night. The walls are paper thin so you can hear every little noise that is made - guests in the bar, people in their rooms. We asked to move from our original room as neither the TV or Wifi worked and the bathroom and carpet were filthy and we could hear conversations down in the bar below word for word (room 4), we were then moved to another room (room 8) which was like staying in a hostel, there were two rooms and a bathroom, the 1st room with double bed had bathroom access, this room was stifling hot and smelled of toilet, the carpet again was absolutely filthy with staples, toe nail clippings, hair, dead skin and god knows what. The bed in this room was that hard it was like sleeping on concrete, the pillows weren't much better, again needless to say, we had zero hours sleep, on top of this there was a constant very loud droning noise coming from the car park all night, which turned out to be some kind of fan. We left very early and didn't have breakfast as if the rooms were that dirty, what was the kitchen like? Just absolutely abysmal! AVOID!!!!!!

Convenient, clean hotel with great food.
Room was a good size, clean and decorated nicely, my daughter loved having her own TV and s door that closed between her and us. Our bed was comfortable but we had trouble sleeping due to a motor (like an air conditioner) running all night near our heads. The food in the dining room was excellent; our best dining experience during our 5 weeks in the UK, even though it was a bit pricier than we expected.
