Close to Dublin
Arrived in Ireland early morning and this was a welcome resting spot and base for the next few days if sightseeing. Breakfast was good and a perfect way to start the day.

Quite noisy one night. Large fan outside our room (218) kept us awake. Otherwise ok.

Staff was so accommodating; restaurant great, make dining reservations early as they are popular.

A good convenient place to stay outside Dublin.
We were delighted with Dun Laoghaire. It was suggested to us as an alternative to driving into Dublin with our rental car. The parking was very convenient to the hotel. The train station was a ten minute walk from the hotel, with a nice view of the water. The room was nicely appointed and the bathroom was spacious. The shower was great, except for some mildew on the bathroom ceiling. We paid a little extra for the water view and it was beautiful. The only real downside with this hotel is the trains - they are nearby and loud, but seemed to stop by about 11pm and resumed 7am. We would've rated this hotel a "5", except for the visible mildew (we both have allergies); the trains; and the lack of any internet at all until the next morning.

Great position, matched my expectations
This hotel is nicely positioned, very close to the seafront, in a cluster of old houses that have been turned into one building. After checking in, we made our way through a maze of creaky-floored corridors to find our room. The room was clean, except for a random cotton-bud on the bedroom floor! We had a view of the sea and the hotel garden, which was nice - however, later at night the people using the garden were a little too noisy. Breakfast was reasonable, with plenty of choices to cater for most tastes. Would happily stay here again, as it was comfortable, clean and reasonably priced - but I would ask for a room away not overlooking the garden.
