An interesting stay
This was of the more interesting places I've stayed at as a traveler. The hotel was obviously a private home at one time. It was clean and the accommodations, though small, were clean and in good order. There is no registration desk, you just press the intercom button on the outside and speak with the proprietor when you arrive. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. The University of Toronto and Ryerson University are both within walking distance, and there is a subway station across the street from the hotel. If you drive (something I do NOT advise doing in Toronto) there are public parking lots nearby, but they are expensive. The hotel has no parking spaces for guests. Overall this place met my expectations.

Great little house near Wellesley and Church
I really enjoyed the Wellesley. It's in a very convenient location in a transitional neighborhood. It's across the subway. This alone made it excellent for the first time Toronto visitor like I was. There is a big drugstore and great places to eat just down the street and even next door. A permanent staffing would make it friendlier but this was not an issue for me. I would stay there again. As many big towers are riding around it, I hope it's there when I return! Eat at Fuel and Istanbul cafe just down the street.

Clean, reasonable place to sleep
Very small room, adequate for one person who doesn't plan to do more than sleep there, but very central, quiet, and clean - and reasonably priced.

Great value for what you get and pay.
I stayed on the top floor. My room was very small but clean. TV, nice size shower and bathroom. There;s even a small fridge and coffee machine. You have to call their toll-free number to confirm when the off-site attendant comes over and sets you up, etc. Otherwise, for the $$, great value. Literally 50 yards from the wellesley subway door and close to Yonge Street. Felt safe here, btw.
